Now AS can go back to playing the piano - maybe that's his calling and he can make a living? Who needs F1 and all the glamour and half-naked pit girls anyway, right? Not AS...

Apparently, Adrian Sutil is an excellent pianist. I read in a book somewhere he could've made it to being concert standard, but then, of course, chose F1 as his main career.

pianists can make their fingers dance :P

Sutil is a bit harsh on words, but he is also right. You have to help your friends.

Huh? If your friend was a pedophile you would help him kidnap more kids right? lol

Sutil is just dragging Hamilton down, Hamilton doesn't need friends that stab people in the neck.

:hehe: Exactly.

Why should Hamilton take the fall when he was just a witness at most? If your friend has a scrambled egg for a brain and does stupid things, you realize it's best to drop that 'friend' or you're toast as well. Come on vlad...if it was Vettel in Hamiltons place I'm sure your thinking will be different.

Hmmm, so you think Lewis chooses pedophiles and bashers as friends?

And as to what I'd do if my friend had a problem, well, I would testify to the positive things I knew about him (remember Lewis chose to make him a friend for some reasons). I tell him he has to accept the consequence of what he did, and, most of all, that I'll be there for him to recover and amend for his mistake.

For what it's worth, I'm sure I'm not Robinson Crusoe when it comes to being around when mates have gotten into fights in pubs - whatever the outcome I've never deserted any of them either during or after.

I wonder what you'll do if one of your mates gets provoked into an altercation? If your mates read your post, I wonder how many of them would want you around if they ever got in trouble and needed help?

Whether he appeared in court or not is not the issue. The outcome would have been no different. His statement was not vilifying Sutil while I'm sure it was a lie, the whole Not knowing anything at all!

I know I would not expect a mate to lie for me in a court of law, if you did something like this you have to face up to it yourself instead of looking for someone else to blame! Sutil should be calling himself a coward for not accepting blame!

Helping a friend out and being there for them is not the same as lying for them. lewis was called by the prosecution, not the defence. Not going may have been better for Sutil than going and telling the truth. Lewis was asked to lie once before by someone he trusted and he bitterly regrets doing it. We're always hearing lewis should learn from his mistakes, well maybe he has. IF Lewis was asked to lie(or avoid the truth) then Id say Sutil is the abuser of the friendship.

Was he going to have to lie for him? I don't recall reading that anywhere. In my book, you do whatever you can to help out your friends.

I dont know if he was asked to lie, which is why I put the IF in capitol letters.

Within certain paramaters yes you do what you can to help out friends but, you dont do anything to help them out, you dont break the law, you dont hurt other people, you dont compromise your integrity. A friend asking you to do that is not a true friend.

I wonder if Andrew would have this view if it were Vettel in the situation... Scratch that any driver bar Hamilton actually!! :hehe:

You should copy and paste it over on the that's Vettel thread.
