The police aren't all sweetness and light. They are human beings, so can get things wrong and be corrupt. Also, they have various pressures on them, both from the ordinary people and politicians.

I didnt say they were gods or anything like that. But why would they simply (The Italian police) just go and bash some United supporters just for kicks. I dont believe that for one minute.

i dunno i have heard alot of dodgy stories from mates going to Italy of the cambingari or what ever the italian police are called!

Having been to football games at which riots have erupted, I don't think that the vast majority of police officers want to beat up people for fun, but I've noticed their tactics and the volatility of the situation itself results in mishaps. For instance, at a game I was at, some trouble broke out in one of the terraces, and the police charged in and battened anybody within their reach, regardless of whether they were involved in the trouble or not.

Not from Italy or mainland Europe. Most of the abroad Man Utd supporters are in Africa, The Middle East, Aisa, Australia and North America. Well then again that is a lot of places. I take it then you are a Liverpool fan?

As for me, nope, i don't support any Premiership teams really, my [local] team plays in the Championship (awesome division, so unpredictable) but i guess if i had to choose a premiership team to support it'd be Aston Villa or Man City, out of the big 4 i'd pick Arsenal...

Arsenal are ok, but in England I like Chelsea. Most Italians I know go for Chelsea in England with a few that like Arsenal. But these are Italians I know that are from Australia. I am yet to meet any in Italy but I am sure there has got to be some out of the 60 million inhabitants.

Football is everything, jesus. I read the other day about some bloke who was shot dead by police as he was carrying a crossbow, apparently he wanted the police to shoot him because he was suicidal because Middleborough or something lost.
