I just got back from a camping trip up north, we saw cows and deer:

You were camping in Montana?

Don't know what state I was in in the evenings.

They were European elk and bison at a highland wildlife park. Oddly though, there were also polar bears, tigers and Japanese snow monkeys.

Saved about $1000 bucks. Cut and spliced an aftermarket segment of wiring for the four coils. Audi wanted $1200 dollars for the entire harness. A little bit of equal parts patience and skill and the new part uses all of the same OEM components. Took me about two hours to spice it all up.

We're enjoying balsam fir, moose (the real thing - huge!) and other delights in a log cabin on Moosehead Lake in Maine.

Dunno, but I own this place.

Moose is a bit tough compared to deer, especially compared to roe deer.

Well over the last few days I've been getting down and getting dirty on the garage floor......

Grinding and chipping- dusty and hard work, but went ok.

Sweeping up mess- dusty and spluttery, but went reasonable.

filling holes with epoxy filler, not bad.

Painting the epoxy floor covering on, a disARSter darling!
There was this big tub of blue stuff and a little tub of clear gluey stuff and it had to be mixed. On opening the blue tin it was VERY, VERY blue. A friend who works in the trade got the stuff and I thought it would be the soft bluey grey that the corridor floor was done in, but no bright petrol blue, arousing such comments from French neighbours, looking in to see what was happening as
'Ou est les etoiles? And ' Ah! une piscine! '

That was when they saw the narrow strip that was painted near the garage door. Because the first attempt, that was all that got done. It got mixed up wrong. A whole big bucket full and after about twenty minutes was going off. Getting thick and gloopy, smelling funny and getting hot. This was most of the stuff from the tins. Next day, mixed up the rest properly and just about eked out enough to cover the floor. It's a massive garage ( could get four cars in at a push) had to work really quick so it's not neat, and there's little teeny holes where the floor was bumpy. But at least it's covered. Next time I come it will have a second coat..no paint left now , all wasted.
And this was my hands............after three goes with white spirit, fairy liquid, hand wash, scrubbing and scratching and scraping.

And here is the blue floor. At least it won't be all dusty any more.

I'll remember that tip for when the second coat is put on! have only got fairy liquid in this mountain retreat at the moment. Scratching and picking has done quite well on the skin, still all stuck round my nails though

Apparently, letting wild game sit in milk over night helps tenderize it!
Haven't tried it personally; but, I have it on good authority from a friend
who hunts and cooks wild game, all the time!
