Part of the confusion can be put down to the fact that Lewis drove into an area where there was waved yellows but also a green light flashing, thus giving a conflicting message....

I don't think he believes he made a mistake, I think he is being coached to shut up and endure in silence, else be labeled a whiner. However, ...

...yellow flag and green light.

The yellow flag was displayed a bit before this frame, and a bit before Lewis was abeam that point on the track but, in light of the limited sidewards visibility from the survival cell, I'm not convinced he could have seen it. But being as the FIA are displaying the "All clear" at the end of the straightaway, I think the greater question is whether he should have seen it.

Stop making excuses the yellow flags were being waved. He still went flat out and used DRS ,nuff said penalty accepted .5th on the grid, his own stupid fault.

Fred is hardly a Lewis fan, but I've found him to be one of the intelligent posters on here. He raises valid points here. The fact there were two conflicting signals is fault of the track officials not the drivers! It's clear they took this into account by giving 3 not 5 place penalty. Should have been 0!

Do you even know what happened? And Fred is far from being a Lewis fan.

Lewis gets penalised for confusinbg flags and lights. Jenson gets no penalty for setting his fastest lap on yellows.
Lewis said - yeah I did it, bring it on (cos thats all anyone wants to hear from lewis)
Jenson goes in -'I did lift yadda yadda yadda' Yeah Jens and you set your fastest lap.

Well done again Stewards. And regarding Lewis, I dont think he's getting any coaching he's just playing along with the nonsense because thats all he can do.

You're in good company lewis. They all had a go at Ayrton- Stewards, other racing drivers. They do it to the ones that are the best. What you need to do is handle it like Ayrton did. Here's Stewart having a go at Ayrton for crashing too much. And what a superb answer Ayrton gives. Listen and learn Lewis. Don't let them get to you

Yeah the hypocrisy is amazing. And I dont even want to understand why Jenson gets away with sh*t and Lewis doesn't. Lift? Oh yeah, he was 0.7 seconds slower than pole, you call that a lift? I'm sure the stewards are borderline retarded but not THAT retarded to know that this doesnt really constitute a 'lift'!!

Wtv, they are side by side, who's with me - Lewis passes Jenson on the 1st lap. :D

I didn't say he was a Lewis fan,the point was ment to be more a dig at my frustration at Lewis rather than anything about the poster..Fact is it was only P1.If he sees waved yellows hes being silly not to ease off.
