To be honest, I think McLaren tried to play it safe after the rained out friday and went for two very different set-ups so they'd at least be on the money with one of them, risking that the other would gravely underperform.

Good plan, however I would of thought that Mclaren and Lewis would of been shouting that from the rooftops, instead of saying "It was the best for Lewis" setup.

Well, I think they kinda had to sell the plan to Lewis. I have the feeling Lewis wouldn't agree with the hit-or-miss approach. McLaren had to keep up the story that it was best for Lewis, when it was really just a risk spread. Meanwhile Lewis feels betrayed that the data shows it wasn't best.

I agree, a seconds huge it seems highly improbable that
A) It came from one singular part
B) the team would have only bothered telling one driver about this second gaining wing when they had two.

Yeah,I guess we dont know how much was the wing itself until it runs again. But putting Lewis, on low down force and Jenson on high would be a no brainer based on their driving styles and past history. So what did Jenson's side of the garage know and not share? And how did they persuade lewis to take the bum deal?

I believe that JB is a nice guy and I don't blame him for playing the political and psychological game, he is not the fastest driver in all conditions but he's great at playing mind games to advantage himself, I see nothing wrong with that, he's just using the tools at his disposal. And on his day he can be unbeatable, as Spa once again proved.

the top drivers have inferior cars or have issues AND his teammate is handicapped

Jenson still needs a car with a huge speed advantage, put the others on the same playing field and he is average at best
