I punched a dwarf.

Punching a garden gnome is nothing to be proud of. :nono:

Today I've been a 'Stonemonkey', Chipping away at the garage floor with hammer and chisel. Trying to remove left over stuff from builders , plaster, mortar, cement, those sort of things, ready to epoxy it in the summer. I think I overdid it and may have gouged out bits of the actual floor....hard to tell.

I got a bit chilly in the basement ....and dusty.....so have just had a hot bath with glass of wine and my Nuvolari book ( snippets from that to follow later in the Nuvolari thread)

Boy does wine go to one's head when sipped in a hot bath!!!

I hate middle management but I'm stuck doing it as part of a temporary transitional period. That being said if I'm going to do the job I want to do it well. So today I got to deliver a little bit of sunshine for the team that reports into me. It was the first time I've ever done something like this.

I gave my direct reports their annual merit/bonus increase letters. Everyone was happy for the most part. Wheesh.

I was thinking more of the whispy, tangled, wavey aspect of the word rather than the colour and sliminess. My hair wasn't slimy. :hehe:

My mate had in his annual appraisal once a word he did not understand so he looked it up. It called him pasty white and sickly. So he raised it with the report write. Who pulled out his dictionary, in his it read something along the lines of Mediterranean decent.

Watched 'Blue Is the Warmest Color (La vie d'Adèle)' - leave it to the French to make this kind of movie, they're good at it :cloud9:

I watched Non-Stop, leave it to Liam Neeson to kick a$$ even if the plot comes to a horribly lame end! (for Neeson)
