This should be some sort of indication that Red Bull does not have an unassailable advantage.

But to be honest the last two races though Redbull have had an advantage. Korea they threw away and Fernando was there ready to pounce on mistakes.

A speed advantage, yes. But not an unassailable one. Fernando was only less than 0.2s off pole at Korea and was keeping SV in sight until SV's engine blew. A small enough difference that a driver might be able to make it up.

yeah thats true, But Korea wasn't meant to favour Redbull with the longest straight on the calendar and they still got the front row locked out. Brazil also has a long straights but not as drastic as Korea. The infield section is where Redbull should be able to really push home their advantage.

50 points up for grabs so just about anything can happen. It is most likely to go down to the wire at AD. But, if I was running things at RB Webber would only be 4 points behind now.

If I was running things at Ferrari Webber would only be 4 points behind right now :whip::hehe:

To beat Fernando...
You will need team orders.

Karma is surely a biatch :whip::rofl:

Will it be Red Bull or McLaren ordering the two consecutive Alonso DNFs? :D You might say that you need team orders, but that's wishful thinking on your part just like my wishful thinking is blue smoke out of the Ferrari engine.

That's a tough one. I dont think mclaren would do that... so maybe Red Bull. RB can make it look less conspicuous hehe
But no, I think they dont need to be so harsh. All they need is to make it easier on themselves.

But definitely if RB allow their drivers to race itll be much much harder. Mclaren NEED to support Lewis, and RB are on the thin line of is it better or not... perhaps after Brazil they'll have a clearer situation, depending on how Alonso and their drivers do.

Brazil is not a bad track for Red Bull, but I think Ferrari can at least split the front row. Then it will all depend on those engines........... They should fit some sort of fireworks, so if Alonso's engine blow they make a little firework spectacle. hehe

I know the feeling of NEEDING to support one driver when that drive is the only one in contention, and McLaren are there right now, even if Button is mathematically still in it... but I haven't gotten a really convincing argument yet as to how it's not possible for a large team like McLaren not to do both. And I mean REALLY helpful things, not just stacking pit stops or having Jenson do some testing of parts or try out wets before Lewis or somethign like that.

From a purely logistically capable argument, a LARGE team like McLaren or Ferrari can really support BOTH drivers. I mean to maximize their WCC chances, McLaren would be crazy not to want both of their drivers scoring maximum points since they realistically have a better shot at that title than the WDC title. I don't think McLaren would have difficulty in developing two new upgraded parts for each driver,it's not like we're talking HRT and limited resources.

I don't really see how a driver can actually help the other outside of obvious moving over to let a team mate pass or driving a really wide car if they happen to be in front of a rival contender.

The more I think about it the crazier it seems that Red Bull didn't wrap up both championships two races ago!

Don't worry. Teams always find a way to enlighten us and show new ways of doing stuff... hehe

Alonso seems to have tuned into two times world champion mode now, he's stopped making mistakes, he's still fast, he' s worked varying strategies (the fast in lap for Monza, the nurse the tryres at Korea, copy your rivals every move in Singapore as your ahead and you just need to keep it that way), that Ferrari seems reliable but maybe the engine is a ticking time bomb.

Redbull have the pace, but can they handle the pressure? The cars gremlins struck again in Korea, will that unsettle Vettel?

Hamilton needs to do what Alonso did a few races back, just find consistency, he can't really compete on raw pace (due to the car, he knows he's personally fast enough and tbh thats probably causing frustration), but keep in check and see what happens. After all anything can happen in f1. . .

Martin:Jenson We need you to overtake Fernando Vettle Style can you confirm understand?

Alonso's car seems pretty tough though, and he'll knock the hell out of anyone who takes him out.

Also, isn't this what is meant by Massa being a rear gunner?
