Not a pub person, so I'd much prefer someone being the host of a BBQ or something like that. I'd find that way more appealing then a pub.

Any takers? Not me, I'm down in the south, so someone centrally located would be better, plus I've not got the space.

Not being funny but I wouldn't of thought anyone would be stupid enough to host a BBQ for about 20+ strangers they've never met before. :hehe:

Yeah and it would cost a fortune for the person.

So you need a millionaire with a mansion who really likes holding parties.

any takers?

I'm on my own at my house currently, but it'll be too far for some of you.

I think a pub in a city centre is a far more practical way to go. Easy transport links, hotels for those that need them, no expense for the host (and no need to reveal their address to a bunch of people they've never really met) etc.

how about finding a camp site, with a club house that would put the F1 on, that way it would keep the price down for everyone.

plus we could have a BBQ at the place

This is a nice idea, but I'm not sure it's practical. First, it's a massive hassle for someone to organise, we'd have to really accurate about numbers, the question of who's going to put some money down as a deposit, then there's the logistics of getting money from everyone in advance, plus the inherent weather-related BBQ issues, then the fact that anyone who is reliant on public transport (like me) has no way of getting there.

Plus, there's absolutely no way that I'm camping - so if you went this way, count me out (maybe I'm giving you all an incentive to immediately support this one :hehe: )

I think the pub/ sports bar in city centre is the best option - flexible numbers-wise and easy to get to. Someone just needs to do a bit of research to make sure we don't clash with a major footie/ rugby/ other event that might a) prevent the place from showing the F1 and b) make it horrendously busy.

On the Brum/ Leicester question, Han hates Brum, but Jack said to avoid Leicester. I think it doesn't matter much either way as we're going to be sitting in a dark-ish room watching the telly!

I'm not so keen on the camping idea, campsites are always hard to find and tend to be in the middle of nowhere.

Just meet up and fight.

Glasgow it is then :hehe:

I would prefer a pub and b'ham myself, easier to get to than Leicester and not such a nightmare place.
