if USF1 or Campos don't make the Barcelona test, I'm writing them off tbh. Even if they make one of the first three races, they'll be so far behind to really consider as part of the main field. It would be better if both made it but I'm losing hope as the cars aren't yet launched and 50% of the pre - season testing is now over.

Well, Di Grassi has put the Virgin within 2.7s of the day's best time. That's a start, at least.

That sounds so wrong on so many levels :yikes::P:twisted:

Awesome, i realy hope they are on the pace for Bahrain. The Force India is fastest through the speed traps at Jerez, so maybe some fun at the faster circuits this year again...

I'm going to have to start referring to it as the VR-01, aren't I? :(

The Virgin's well and truly broken in now, having been taken round 50 or so times...

Interesting note about the Cosworth engine currently in the back of the FW32, it has not been changed since the car left the factory for it's first test.

That should silence those who doubted the engine's reliability. :)

True, but the car has done about 4 or 5 race distances on it. They've turned it up a bit since the Valencia test though because Hulkenberg was quickest through the speed trap the other day before Liuzzi's Force India (predictably) came along.

I guess, but only real race conditions when its baking hot in bahrain will show if its a decent engine or not.

Looking good for Mclaren though

1 Hamilton McLaren 1m19.583s
2 Sutil Force India 1m20.180s +0.597
3 Barrichello Williams 1m20.341s +0.758
4 Kubica Renault 1m20.358s +0.775
5 Schumacher Mercedes 1m20.613s +1.030
6 Vettel Red Bull 1m21.203s +1.620
7 Massa Ferrari 1m21.485s +1.902
8 De la Rosa Sauber 1m22.134s +2.551
9 Di Grassi Virgin 1m22.912s +3.329
10 Alguersuari Toro Rosso 1m24.072s +4.489

Also Virgin have improved massivly i hope there not too light - these are the final times for the day.

Looks like no repeat for 09 for Mclaren

It may be a bit early to presume, but the 2006 Cosworth survived it's last outing at Bahrain with a respectable performance from the FW28, so hopefully it'll survive it again. Plus don't forget there was only one occasion when the engine was the main cause of retirement.
