My take on this matter is that JB does deserve more money now that he is a WDC yet I hope he is willing to atleast negotiate an amicable compromise with BGP.
Indeed.
I personally, think McLaren are the best team out there at the moment, closely followed by Ferrari just look at this year, they had undoubtedly the worst car at the start of the year 3+seconds of the pace of Brawn, within a few months they had undoubtedly the best car and definatly the best car for the last race, its a shame they never really got to show how good it was.
For McLaren, the best option would be Button for several reasons which I will go through for you now.
The first reason is for publicity, it would be a British team with two British drivers with two British Champions, Hamilton won 2008, Button won 2009, in turn from the publictiy would come some very hi-profile Ads/Sponsors which would give McLaren a huge boost over other teams in terms of money and for both drivers would get them significantly more money and that's not only for 2010 but for 2011 and if they perform and win 2010 then 2011 will be even more prosperous.
If they were to win the Championship and come first and second in it then the publicity levels and sallery would rocket.
There is also the point to make about crossing both Hamilton and Button, they could learn alot from each other. For example with the tires Button manages his tires fantastically where as Hamilton is a real fighter and pushes his car far beyond its limits to achieve the best he can out of the car. Button's smoothness could also help both drivers mixing it with how Hamilton wrestles his car.
With Kimi, I know he's a VERY fast driver and sets a lot of fastest laps but 2009 car was pretty bad and they gave up development mid way though the year to focus on 2010 but his laid back nature could be a bad thing and we could see him to-relaxed however then again Hamilton's fighting nature and fighting style could make him great.
In terms of money, if Button uses his brain he would get more money at McLaren than at Brawn... and even if McLaren don't have the best car at the start of the season (I think they will) then atleast they will and can get it upto speed fairly quickly it won't be anything like the start of 2009 because of the Double De-fusser issue is over.
(Woot, I have a topic what has reached 4 pages! I knew this subject would us all talking
