Just out of curiosity, is the housing community around Spa rather posh?
There is no housing community around Spa going by what i seen, Its only the odd house here and there almost the whole area looked to be wooded
Indeed - and those complaining (if they're even locals) will see the whole area decline. House prices will fall, businesses will fail, and they can all go back to farming - I wonder if Forumula1.com should start a campaign promoting common sense with regard to historic racetracks and noise pollution? Unless people actually live on the actual circuit, I very much doubt the noise levels (even for F1 cars) reach anything like typical road noise.
This might come as a surprise to some F1 fans, but Spa is actually more famous for its spas than F1. All spas around the world are named from this tiny town.
They get more tourists around the year for health spa hotels and threatments, than race people. Popular destination for this purpose long before the F1 race course was built there. And I guess some of the locals would prefer to bring in the spa tourists instead of F1 or other racing people.
All F1 fans should obviously put their money where their mouth is, and start buying houses next to spa francochamps.
