I'm about 30 minutes from the Lotus factory
A few months ago, my dad and I went there for the Classic Team Lotus open day to see some of the F1 cars. That was pretty awesome.

I wonder what the new ones will look like? Will they keep some classic Lotus colours or go for something more Malaysian?

I hope they stick with traditional colours, but then again common sense never seems to prevail in a lot of things these days...

Lotus' initial F1 headquarters will be in Norfolk, UK but the Malaysian Prime Minister said the team's cars will eventually be designed, made and tested at the Sepang circuit near Kuala Lumpur.

"It will all be made in Malaysia, and made by Malaysians," he said, adding that even the pit crew will be made up of Malaysians despite being led by the British F1 technical expert Mike Gascoyne.

Official, not Lotus. This is equally bad, as if Vijay Mallya took over Spyker, and then decided I shall rename the team Jordan and move everything to India. I don't like this one bit right now.

Even if you went and stood next to it you would still not be "near" because you're a Suffolk boy.

Then again that logic would probably apply to me because I live right on the North/West Yorkshire border and I'm in North...

well McLaren are pretty local to me, i mean i'm 205miles away but i'm on the same landmass so its all good eh?

With more cars on track one thing that will be re-introduced is the driver's ability to negotiate traffic, especially when there are backmarkers having their own squabbles... sadly these days there's the evil blue flag rule forcing backmarkers to move over NOW or get a drive-thru...
