From F1 Live:

Norbert Haug is remaining tight-lipped regarding Mercedes-Benz's plans for next season. It was expected that the German manufacturer would unveil its plans for next year at the Italian Grand Prix, but motorsport vice president Haug said he was "not sure" that timetable could now be met.

The delay could be due to reports that Mercedes is close to buying into the Brawn team, and how this might affect the engine deal that was expected to be reached with Red Bull Racing.

It seems Red Bull might now be keener to simply stay put with Renault power, leading to suggestions that Sir Frank Williams and Patrick Head's visit at the Brands Hatch DTM race last weekend could be the prelude to a Williams-Mercedes deal.

Asked on Tuesday whether he had talks with the Williams team co-owners at Brands Hatch, Haug simply answered in the negative.

He also told reporters that, as well as being in talks with Nico Rosberg about a drive for next season, the planned programme announcement for Monza is likely to be delayed.

All this stuff about Ferrari building "all" of the car is making me bored. Yes, Ferrari have always built their own engines after they stopped being Alfa Romeo in disguise, but there are plenty of other components third parties have made for them which McLaren have built in-house. Yet again, the Tifosi show their ignorance and self-righteousness.

Whatever dude  !

Whatever dude ! The only one here showing their ignorance and self-righteousness is you as the discussion is about engines not other component's. Also do alittle more research on the Alfa/Ferrari history because your wrong.

Eh, no we are talking about 'other components', as they are relevant to the discussion. And I'm quite aware of Ferrari's early history, thanks.

If any organisation is a 'whore' in Formula One, it is Ferrari, as they have been willing to jump into bed with anybody who could help them win. Balestre, Ecclestone, Mosley and Ferrari are the sleaziest people in the history of sport.

Tex didn't even mention these 'other components' in the first place, so stop spoiling for a fight, jeez.

yet the only team to have alway's built their own engine + chassis is Ferrari

Toyota, Renault and BMW don't count imo because they have only been at it for a little while compared with Ferrari and Ferrari (before the rule changes moved towards a spec series) had some unique engines and didn't follow the herd. I'd LOVE the rules to allow a 12 cylinder to be competitive again. Multiples of three sound the best imo

No, and Renault, BMW and Toyota's engines aren't crafted with the same passion of an Italian.

So Williams AREN'T getting Mercedes power afterall...

From F1 Live: Head also told reporters that Williams will not be using Mercedes power in 2010

I guess it's all between Renault and Cosworth now, and it probably all hinges on next Monday's hearing too...

So the McLaren fans keep on saying, despsite it being their team that was guilty of spy-gate and lie-gate. While, in the real-world.
