I think the key difference between Piquet and Grosjean is that despite Piquet having more experience in an F1 car, Grosjean drove with much more maturity and made none of Piquet's rookie errors. Grosjean's driving was respectable, Piquet's was - almost without exception - laughable.

The difference between Grosjean's mishap today and Piquet is that, Grosjean was on his first Grand Prix, whereas Piquet's driving had been risible since March 2008.
