Villeneuve was never really good enough for Formula One in his prime

I think that is a pretty silly comment to make considering he beat Frentzen who had more experience in F1 than JV . He was an average driver, yes, but I think this comment was just posted out of hate.

You don't just cruise around the outside of Schumacher without any high amount of skill, regardless of differences in the car! He was no legendary driver, but a pretty damn good one.

Well said, shame his career fell apart after that. His head got to big later on though.

I do wonder if the transition from slicks to grooves was a little too much for him to handle. I mean, look at what happened to Damon - he couldn't even get close to Frentzen in 1999 in a car that challenged for the championship at times.

Yeh you don't win a WDC by being an average F1 driver.

I liked Zanardi. He was amazing, as in he kept racing after his accident...

So what, he still won it.

he had a Monster of a car? You can't expect nothing else, Look at Bourdais? he's :bs: IMO. But now in F1 he is terrible? Champ Car he was the man? if he was in Red Bull now he would get a podium here and there? It's the car, he had a good car, end of!

Fernando would tell you otherwise. Formula One has the luckiest drivers in the world ;)

Fernando would tell you otherwise.

?

He's admitted on several occasions that drivers better than himself have slipped past Formula One whilst less talented ones have gotten in because of connections or sponsorship deals, or else just being in the right place at the right time.

Wow Fernando realizes something we already know, stop the show! Fernando is very talented but he is no legend.
