He wasnt sent anywhere. He left of his own accord. And for such a crap driver he sure put Schumacher in place plenty of times!!

He sure did, Nurburgring 2003 rings a bell

A quality moment that was.

[EwanM]

Schumacher beat him a good number of times though.

To be fair though it was Schumacher

[EwanM]

He was only human

[racechick]

Well he wasnt also fighting his team mate. And it just made Juan's wins all the sweeter . Juan's wins.....has a ring to it

[Denthúl]

He was a machine until 2005. The cogs were going round slower by then

That is an interesting take on it, or perhaps I have it wrong. My aging memory tells me that he lost his ride and nobody offered him a new one...so he "chose" to go to nascar. Do I have it wrong?

If not, then I chose not to drive for Ferrari this year. They didn't offer me a ride either, but still it was my choice not to take Massa's job.

Your memory is aging AGEN! It was aging last night. Yes you have it wrong. He walked away from the track after a race where he and Kimi crashed together, he phoned his mate (was it Chip?), got a Nasscar drive and by the monday walked away from F1. there was no waiting arounfd for offers that didnt come, he was gone. He did have offers after that but never wanted to go back to the political circus.

Hey, dont diss Montoya, he is a legend (thats my first time ever using the word "diss" )

I think everyone only does it now to wind up racechick actually...

I think I will join racechick in the defence of Montoya. Such a shame he went to NASCAR

Cause he was getting pwned so badly by Raikkonen in '06

Wrong-fed up with politics. That car was wrong for him and he had a broken shoulder-EVERYONE knows that!! And why you wanna wind up racechick?? You wanna see me REALLY mad????

Yes, i know why he left. He DID get thoroughly tanked by Raikkonen though, regardless of any excuses. Raikkonen had enough bad luck of his own too, which cancels all that stuff out anyway...

He wasnt tanked the year before when the car suited him better.

I wish there were more drivers like Montoya in F1. He had titanium balls.

the pressure of having the seat alongside Alonso is not one for a Rookie.

Unless youre Hamilton

Aye, but it's harder to do when the car is poo.
