Hi Chris, please dont add to those two,s misery. they are already so discouraged with mclaren not getting anywhere. They wont be able to deal with more actual facts coming from you as well. for all we know they could be close to commiting suicide becoz of this frustrating situation. I mean if arsenal fans kill themselves over their teams losses it can surely happen here as well.!! the final nail in their coffins is gonna be when merc decides that mclaren dont deserve to use their engines after all the embarrasment they brought mercs way.... anyway back to topic. - erm ... I dont think i have anything to add , well not constructively anyway.

Because most people think of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 Team as a Team first and a business second.

So anyway, speaking as a Brawn fan, I've actively wanted the Mercedes badge on the car all along. Just because I think it'd be cool.

People don't know about the corporate structure of the McLaren Group because they don't care. To them, McLaren is a Formula 1 team who is part owned by their engine partner. You are a big fan of them, so you know significantly more details than they would. That doesn't make what they're saying massively wrong, since their sentiments were still largely correct. The details is just nitpicking, you know exactly what they really mean. And if you wish to educate or clarify any details, surely it's better do it by simply explaining rather than appearing and dismissing them out of hand?

Fair enough. But that's why people don't know certain facts about the corporate structure without their right to express an opinion being invalidated.

i think to be honest I'm surprised Mercedes hasn't put there badge on it any who? it's business, i thought getting company capitalisation is key? losers or not, McLaren must raise the sales up somewhat? so brawn must play a key role. Slap the Badge on ASAP i say, but to be honest if they slap it on and next season Macca are the dominating team Mercedes might play a key role in to being glory supporters and then jump back to McLaren, they need a contract of if they put the badge on for 2009, then they have a end of year review to see if they want to continue in 2010.

I see Brawn GP doing well in F1 for a few years to be honest, this year is the year for both Championships though for sure. If you think about it McLaren at the end of this season will have had only one driver championship and no constructors in the last 10 years! Hard to believe really, Brawn GP will have achieved more on paper in terms of Championships than McLaren with their Mercedes engine.

Given that they should have their Mercedes Badge on that Brawn car asap in my opinion.
