Well good news approprite punishment yadayada.

Good we can get on with racing now and winning the 2009 WDC and WCC.

I agree. It's not over by a long shot. Lewis Hamilton still has a good a chance as anybody to win the 2009 WDC.

Last years Championship was won by 1 point, and hes already far behind, so after missing these next 3 races, Hes gonna have to haul bottom and get every single point possible to still win it. Good Luck.

I don't think that there is anything further to emerge from this issue so in effect McLaren have got away without a punishment. They should have been fined and the case closed. Now when Dave Ryan publishes his tell all-memoirs Mclaren could find themselves in hot water again. Yet another bad decision by the FIA

 McLaren should have recieved some sort of penalty because rules were broken. Atleast its over now and we can all move past this and get back to racing :) .

No races are going to be missed as it was a suspended race ban.

They WERE penalized by disqualifying LH in Australia and by issuing the suspended 3-race ban. It still shows in your record, it just means you're on probation and that means it's NOT over yet...

Wow.
It seems that justice walks side by side with convenience when it comes to formula one.
I'm glad as hell that mclaren doesn't have an outrageous punishment as always, but it does make me question the consistency of the governing bodies.

Pardon me, but I think that Ferrari fans tend to dream of Ferrari drivers winning the championship, not other drivers losing it.

Just about to say that

A 3 race suspended ban. Biggest load of rubbish I have ever heard. Well if anyone ever mentions that Ferrari = FIA again, then they are just showing how much full of it they are. Basically with this verdict, McLaren have very much got away with cheating and thanks to the so called Ferrari allies the FIA.....Yeah right! I doubt McLaren will be dumb enough to risk cheating again in the next 12 month for the actual ban to take effect. Although I hope they do and get caught because that would be so amusing to watch. :hehe:

Actually I don't need to dream of Ferrari winning as it is generally a reality, save for this 2009 waste of time season created to cater for poor teams who have no money, ie Budget cuts. Ferrari will proobably win again in 2010 or something which is a reality. The dreamers are the McLaren supporters who want to see McLaren win titles. Oh yes I would like to see any other team win as long as it isn't McLaren win (Like Brawn) if Ferrari cannot win because in the end if McLaren hasn't won, we can surely be guranteed of one thing. That is the winner definately didn't cheat if that winner isn't McLaren. McLaren = cheats.

No budget caps in 2009.

Yeah well the "Sweeping rule" changes are for what good reason then? Cost cutting for sure. Or preparing for cost cutting in 2010 then. If this wasn't needed then they would of stuck to the old better rules 2008 and previous years.
