Why didn't you want Lewis to win in 2007 i know most of the Ferrari fan's i knew were rooting for LH after

1. Alonso beat Shui to the title twice and
2. It would of been great to see a rookie win the WDC in the 1st year

Also Lewis is now a WDC he has proven himself as good as if not better than Alonso he won the WDC fair and square why can't you just accept that

The Ferrari fans you know are they English? If so then that is the reason why they wanted Lewis Hamilton to win over Alonso and second to Ferrari, because it is their countryman. Alonso bet Schumi to the title once in 2006. In 2005 Ferrari were not in the hunt and Alonso actually bet Kimi then at McLaren and stopped McLaren winning a title. To me Alonso is a hero for that. In 2006 I didn't care as Schumi lost to Alonso at Renault and even I know that Ferrari cannot always win everything and losing to Renault was no big deal. I didn't like Lewis Hamilton for a few reasons, not just because he drives for McLaren. Thus rookie or not, I didn't want it to be him. Hvala Bog (Thank God) that Kimi won the WDC in 2007.

What are the other reasons you dislike lewis?

I don't really want to discuss this. Don't worry about it. It doesn't really matter. Besides we are turning this into another Ferrari Versus McLaren debate. Let's not please.

I think Nico could have gone for glory at Monaco as he was on the pace of the Ferraris and McLarens all weekend. Had he not been put on the "play it safe" strategy and filled up to the brim he could easily have gone for pole. Then he might have also avoided losing all his front wings and could have capitalised on Ferrari's bad strategy and Lewis hitting the barrier.

But hopefully the FW31 will allow Nico to do that at other tracks and not just Monaco next year, and hopefully Kazuki will up his game - particularly in qualifying - now he's got a full season under his belt.

Kazuki wasn't a top performer last year but he proved his doubters wrong whom predicted him to stick it in the wall at every race (and live up to his father's "Crashajima" nickname) - instead the crashing was done by Piquet. :D

There, through all that we've got back on topic now. :)

Look it is even on the Slovenian F1 website.

Italijanska bilanca ob koncu leta
Najboljši je Fernando Alonso
Tako kot vsako leto, so italijanskem športnem časniku Gazzetta dello Sport, tudi leto proglasili najboljšega voznika letošnje sezone.
Besedilo: Bojan Vrbnjak Foto: poleposition.at / Hasan Bratic

V večini primerov so prednja mesta zasedali Ferrarijevi vozniki, toda letos so naši kolegi presenetili svoje bralce.

The article is very much what was writen at the start of this thread. I highlighted my favorite bit above which translates as THE BEST IS FERNANDO ALONSO.

Fernando is a great driver and maybe the best. However his attitude and behavior can be sketchy sometimes. To me he treats Renault like an ugly booty call. Its like he is trying to get with Ferrari (younger hotter woman) while stringing along Renault (slightly older woman, but still worth doing). The thing is PRETTY WOMEN DON'T TRY HARD IN BED! And Renault is planning on getting a Boob Job (in the form or engine enhancement to be competative) . Will those new boobs keep Alonso attention? Not for long.

He was at the heart of a major F1 scandal. Whether or not you agree if it was justified to bring McLaren their reconing, Alonso didn't expose them because it was the right thing to do or out of conscious. He exposed them as a threat or as blackmail. To me that is as bad as the original sin.

I still like Alonso.. I don't hate Alonso... If he were not in F1 it would be borring as hell. I'd rather see Lewis beat Alonso... but I am glad Alonso got the wins this season.

Alonso better driver than Lewis... Whatever!!! Its to early in both careers to call that one. Talk to me in 2020...

That is one interesting theory. But that is all it will ever be, a theory.

Interesting that you call it as "All it will ever be"

I cant wait for the day when/if it happens to turn this theory into reality and see your reaction then, afterall this is only an opinion, from what i see on this forum you never seem to accept any body elses so why should anybody else accept yours.

Which part, Lewis Hamilton going to Ferrari, or McLaren beating Ferrari's record? I got news for you. Neither will ever happen. Lewis Hamilton has already said he will never leave McLaren and Ferrari's records are out of reach by now because soon McLaren will be Mercedes and once that happens, the McLaren stats will cease and new records begin virtually from scratch for Mercedes. Well you can start from their 1950s records and add to that, but they would be way behind even teams like Renault.

Why is it you constantly badger on about Mclaren being renamed?? in some ways it would make more sense for Mercedes if they did buy the team to keep it as Mclaren, and the chances of a complete Merc buyout are pretty slim at the best in the near future.
Fiat own Ferrari and yet after all these years they are still called Ferrari so going by your own logic we should really be calling them Fiats
