No exceptions were made for drivers like Lauda, Prost, Senna or Hakkinen, so why is Hamilton being allowed the trophies? It's a total joke. Dennis has gone soft.

Yeah well, RD has gone soft and no viagra can help him anymore, so he has to keep his bitch happy in other ways... :whip

A but you see McLarenFan is mistaken. Here is a quote from the above article

"In a few cases, drivers did manage to keep the original cups. Ayrton Senna was adept at hanging onto them, and some of his older Monaco trophies have never been reproduced for the team; the makers, commissioned by Prince Rainier, would not produce copies."

Its Ron's team, he calls it as he wants ...but no special treatment for Hamilton.

I can´t believe why you have to protect him so desperatly?
Why don´t you just accept the fact that he get´s special treatment compared to his teammate and that would be it???
In my eyes you are all just making yourselfs look like horses with all this, give it up. Every normal person knows how to let go, i know you want to defend him to the end but it´s time to just let it go.......

I agree with McLaren Fan (though he wont like it) but I agree those trophies are property and the History of the team. And thats a very big thing, so why has Hamilton over all the greats of F1 get to keep one? Mclaren didnt like it when Alonso was trying to get #1 status at the team when he was a 2 times world champion, so why is Hamilton allowed special treatment? Hes obviosly has #1 status and alot of extras. Lewis Hamilton is becoming greedy and the Mclaren are bowing down to his every needs. its sad as NO DRIVER should be bigger than the team!

O.K let me sums it up.
Team pays driver to win a race, the driver is an employee, he has no right to the trophy because he was paid for his service, the trophy is property of the team.

For all the talks of how different McLaren is between Ferrari and how fans on both sides like to point things out how different they are, truth is they are the same once RD signed his signiture on LH's contract. What's the point of signing a contract when you can turn around and demand a different one then resign a 3rd one because you didn't like the first two?? and the sad part is RD is afraid to take a stand and with all the backroom dealing and negiotation, he negotiated McLaren's Principle away. The Holy Father of them all Senna, there's no trophy residing in his house for is children to remember him or honor him but yet LH??

And just in case you're wondering, the drivers have to pay up.

Haha, well that's just rubbing it in really! Effing lame, to say to least.

I didnt write that. That was a quote from the article by Adam Cooper. And yes it seems a bit harsh when they've just given up the driver's trophy that they've won.

I know it was from that article... :)
