define utterly stupid.... racings racing. By your definition what they did was stupid or they wouldnt have made contact no?
But if you are scared of banging wheels go watch something else! or find someone else to nit pick, while its in fashion right now to bag on every Lewis move or comment its getting pretty old!

Utterly stupid as in squeezing another driver off the track in the wet on a really fast part of the track, completely missing the braking point for a corner and almost ramming the driver infront of you, you know the usual stuff that Lewis pulls when someone passes him, he's passing someone or just defending his position. But hey, even if someone dies as a result it's racing right, no biggie.

 we have a new Forumula1.com OHS champion
cant believe youre using the start of Japan as leverage, that is the norm how many times have we seen it FFS  , if it was some other driver we wouldnt even be talking about it!!!

and all drivers have done dirty moves in their career none are angels no doubting people have forgotten Fernando's love of brake testing drivers..... pitty there was hardly as much uproar for that dangerous driving

again go watch something else if your dont like drivers banging wheels!

Yeh, the fact is its very hard not to brush wheels when your racing especialy in open wheel racing. You both want the fast line and you want to gain or don't want to loose position so squeezing somone is just part of racing.

Oak, you should go watch go-karting or gp2 formula 3 etc.. and look how much contact there is there.

I mean honestly Oak, what do you want them to just use lap time and wave each other past?

Don't get me wrong i don't want to see Shui-Massa esq ramming but i do want to see racing. And what your talking about is a F1 train which we don't wanna watch

So you're saying you can't be succesfull in F1 by racing cleanly? Hmmm, Häkkinen won 2 championships, can you remember him resorting to dirty tricks? Did anyone ever, even once complain about his driving? Don't think so. Guess he was just that much better than Hamilton, huh?

How is Lewis resorting to Dirty Tricks? he hasn't rammed anyone of the track yet.

To be fair only 3 drivers have complained about lewis driver, Glock, Alonso and Kubica

Glock was an racing incident and i've seen far worse he's just having a moan, Kubica is just having a moan and Alonso is Stirring up poo as usual becuase he can't let it go that he was beaten by a rookie in the same car.

DC gave more s*** to Heindfelt today after that qualifying hold up than Lewis has ever got really.

As usual its everyone listing to Alonso and the Spanish media and blowing things way out of proportion.

Its abit supprising really Massa rams Lewis off the track yet people are still going on over a few racing overtakes.

Your forgetting the incident when Lewis rammed into the back of Alonso a few races back, sorry I cant remember the race. All I'm saying is lewis is no angel but then again I'm not bashing on him either.

Add, Heidfeld, Webber, Trulli and Raikkonen to that list

Yeh, but again that was a "racing incident" as the stewards like to call it wheras Massa' was avoidable.

That said i agree he's no angel hes alot more agressive than the other drivers out there but he's not nearly as bad as Shui was

Schumi was not as bad as the McLaren camp make him out to be and yes Lewis is not as bad in the sense that it's only his second year, let's discuss this subject again in 10yr's and see how the comparison stands?

Another addition to the list of complainers, this time it's Kovalainen. He says he's had to dodge Lewis a couple of times and has told him that he won't be doing that for much longer if Lewis keeps on driving over aggressively and eventually they will crash.

Where did you hear that?

Helsingin Sanomat, a Finnish newspaper. Headline reads: "Kovalainen:Lewis is an aggressive driver"

He also says he want's to be treated differently next season. This season, apart from 1 race, he's always had a heavier car in quali and he isn't too happy about that.

Each season people increasingly moan about the lack of overtaking and how boring it's all getting, then as soon as someone steps up and starts racing again everyone starts moaning again. Regardless of what his attitude is like out of the car, you have to admit that Hamilton has provided some of the most exciting racing in the last two years.

Yup. He's a racer.

I'd like to see exciting racing too, like in Japan there was a 4 way Mclaren Vs Ferrari battle in the making but then Hamilton ruined it in the first corner.

mate you wont get exciting racing if you penalise racers for farting. Follow my leader round the track is not a good idea either

Stop playing down what Lewis has done, he's caused many incidents which could have ended very badly and the only reason they didn't was because the other driver(s) took evasive action.

you know whats funny two of the drivers whinging the most are the ones who were involved in the biggest crash in recent F1 history.....

And how is this relevant? Did they cause this accident by doing something utterly stupid?

I think you're proving my point. You sound like one of those 'cotton wool' fans that can't see that a little aggressiveness can be fabulous to watch. Did you ever see Mansel's first season in the States?

Maybe doing something utterly stupid is along the lines of squeezing your team mate through Eu Rouge, one the most dangerous corners in motorsport. Or how about overtaking round 130R? Somethings are stupid to some, spectacular to others.

Again, down playing what he's done. He hasn't been "a little aggressive", he's been too aggressive on some occasions.

Playing down what? There seem to be plenty of people that want to over-react to anything he does these days.

One can also look at it like this, Lewis is madeout to be the 'Holly Grail' of F1 and we have ALOT of newcomer's to the sport, only because of LH, that will disagree to anything and everything that is not pro-Hamilton. Then they will get personaly offended and spitout nothing but noise pollution because they think they are right and will not respect/accept someone else's opinion.

Well, if I was sat in Kovalainen's car at Fuji, I think I'd have the same opinion ;)

Well, if he has had his strategy dictated to him then he's got a right to complain. But whether or not that's the case is known only by him and the team. In that thread that was posted a while back, Kovalainen's qualifying pace has been, fuel-corrected, mostly equal to or better than Hamilton's, and sometimes he even matches his teammate with more fuel on-board. So yeah, I think lighter loads would be better for Heikki in terms of qualifying and, indeed, the race.

Edit: So, I asked someone Finnish on my contact list to translate that for me and he does indeed say that he's not going to move over when Lewis pushes him too many more times and that when that happens he does, indeed, expect there to be a crash. I wonder how that will go down..?

Im not convinced Heikki said that but if he did he needs to start driving faster before he lays down conditions. Still dont think he said it tho
