If Bourdais gets dropped that would be one of the greatest injustices in F1 ever.

Given his improvement in form in the last few races, then that's definitely true. It was always going to take a while to come to terms with the differences in how a Champ Car and a Formula One car handle. With less aerodynamic trash on the cars next season and slick tyres making their return, Bourdais could get even better.

If he doesn't get retained, I hope Sir Frank and Patrick pick him up as they were one of his biggest admirers early in the season. He would probably do well in a Williams as well. :)

You should have heard the spiteful stuff coulthard spouted when Juan pablo took his drive. He acts lke Mr. Upright goody two shoes whilst putting in the knife.

Coulthard is a clown. He will say just about anything to explain his underperformance at McLaren. I only saw the bit about the 1998 Australian Grand Prix before having to leave the room for a second, but I was surprised he even mentioned the pre-race agreement and didn't give us a violin story. Is the video online at all so I can watch it?

Well you'll have to put up with him again next year if he gets the TV job.

Really hope he doesnt cos he bears grudges! Dont know if video is on youtube but he was interviewed again later and asked about Ron/McLaren. He said that whilst he knew he had equal equipment , Mikka was Ron's favorite NOT FAIR etc etc blah blah :dummyspit:

That's all he ever gurns about. Another example of his ill treatment he always trots out is the 1997 European Grand Prix. On the face of it, Coulthard was ordered to allow Hakkinen past him. How shameful - or at least it would be if that was the case. What Coulthard doesn't tell us is that Hakkinen was brought into the pits earlier to get him out of the way of the championship battle between Schumacher and Villeneuve. As a result of this, Coulthard got ahead of Hakkinen. After both Hakkinen and Coulthard were out of the way of the title fight, the team switched things around again to the way they were before. It doesn't sound quite so unfair when you say it like that. Nor when you make mention of the 1999 Belgian Grand Prix when Coulthard beat Hakkinen fair and square and was allowed to win the race despite it making it more tricky for Hakkinen to win the drivers' title. The fact of the matter is that Coulthard was given equal equipment and support to win the title, but he wasn't up to the challenge. He could not beat Hakkinen and Schumacher, two of the greatest drivers the sport has seen, so, to quote Coulthard himself, 'there's no shame in that', so he should just shut it.

DC.
Not just because he has done terrible and made too many silly mistakes... but also because he doesnt have the 'time' to improve anymore.

Piquet has been awful, but not the worst.
He is very young with a lot of expectations, driving a terrible car in the middle of the field, with a high profile teammate who gets some decent results and fantastic Qs.

Kovy has done poorly, but he's had really back luck and some mistakes. Maybe not the no 1 guy to drive a Mclaren; but i seriously doubt anyone who does deserve to drive the MP's would go and be Lewis' teeth whitening guy.

The biggest meltdown: between Kimi and Nick... thats a though call

Kimi has been disapointing. Very. Heidfeld has been very inconsistent, rather than consistently good - or bad.

Indeed. Yet, despite his inconsistency, he is only eleven points behind Kubica, four points behind Raikkonen and two points ahead of Kovalainen. To say he's so close to Raikkonen, who is driving a car capable of winning races in comparison to Heidfeld's which is not, he's doing a pretty good job.

He is also the only driver to have finished every single race this season.

Heidfeld's been struggling even to make it past Q1... while Kimi at least makes the top 5 and ussualy has the fastest laps on sunday, so thats not bad... plus Kimi's had a great deal of bad luck and weird incidents. On the other hand, Heidfeld pulled that double pass at Hockenheim  Another thing, Nick has done far beter than Kimi is to manage his struggle, and because of that, he's been able to finish races and put up them pts.

I think DC has to be the worst driver this year for me, its a shame because he is a world class driver but doesnt seem to be coming to grips with this years car.
its a tough call cos really all the feild this year is driving pretty well after all the field spread is less than 3 seconds after quali

Yes he has been a bit random, like some proper good results.

Even Nick has made a couple of fastest laps :)
