I think he'll stay and then move to whichever team appears to do best in the '09 season - it's entirely possible that Honda and Force India could be fighting for the title! :hehe:

Of course it is. Given the amount of progress Force India have made since last season, they could find themselves way up in the pecking order next season, as they can devote all their development to next year's car, whilst the front-runners can't afford to do that.

Wow, what a brilliant argument, you really made your point well

Honda have put so much effort in to next season's car and the KERS system that it's entirely possible they will have made more progress than the other teams, no?

Maybe but KERS, in it's first year, does not guarentee an improvement especially when one's chassis is junk, no?

You said Honda and Force India - and it's not possible - mostly because you added Force India to your claim, so if one is eliminated, the entire scenario becomes unrealistic. Ergo, it's not possible as a whole. Satisfied? .

Yep, although it seems Honda's problems stem from the aerodynamic inefficiency of their car - something that will be 'reset' next year with the rule changes.

As for Force India - anything's possible! The field is so tight, once they get their seamless shift gearbox on the go they are set to gain about 4 tenths a lap. A pretty massive gain huh? That could easily put them in near the top half of the grid, and like a said, the rules can easily shake things up! I never denied that it is unrealistic, just said it was entirely possible. :)

There are few thing's that I would like to see more than Honda moving up the grid and possibly be top five contender's. I would even enjoy it more if they still had Ruben's and Jenson yet I fear that if they leave and the team make's massive improvement's they will not be recognized for their input and loyalty.

If Alonso leaves Renault, and nothing happens at Ferrari and Rosberg does end up leaving Williams, I reckon Fernando might fancy a shot in a Williams, especially if they finish ahead of Renault in the Constructors title.

Mind you that is if Rosberg does end up leaving.

I think that if Rosberg leaves Williams Kovalainen might take his place and then Alonso stays at Renault.

I think there won't be major changes until 2010.
Alonso will stay with Reggie and Ferrari will hangon to Fight Club and Massa.
Rosberg and Heikki will remain where they are for 2009.

i dunno Fernando will be 29 by 2010 i think Ferrari would rather look to either Kubica or Vettel by then so they can get a good long spell from a driver.

Saying that i think Fernando will race well into his 30's so i could be wrong

I think if 2007 hadnt happened he would be thinking about retiring by now.
But I think he'll drive into his 30s. He still has the talent to do so.
I think Ferrari will take him, as he fits Schumacher's team ethics, pretty well now. A leader, just what Ferrari need.

Aye, but it was good fortune Piquet ended up where he did. (good fortune I was very happy about) The cars is lacking alot of traction. As Mark Hughes said Alonso's driving for time at the moment.
He's still up there. We've seen Kimi in a dog of a Mclaren struggle in the past. It'll be the same as Hamilton if he ever experiences one.
