Here I am - adjusting to life without F1 without sleepy Monday mornings, and then BOOM! The F1 season starts again... And I always question - do I want to devote another 9 to 10 months of my life following another season of F1?

You're taking the wrong POV on it. It's more like 70 hours, and we can all spare 70 hours over the course of 9 months.

70 Hours - what sort of fan are you....? thats only 3.6hrs a race weekend!

FP1,2&3 - Thats 6 hours.
Qualiy - Thats at least 3 with build up and post race.
Race - 6 hours minimum with build up and post race.

x19 = 285 hours.

Put some effort in WB.

Really the first obvious team strategy mess-up was Sauber taking Sutil... Or Lotus taking Maldo.

WCC:
1st: The most reliable team with best aeros
2nd: Not the 1st team
3rd: Neither of the above

WDC:
1st: A current WDC
2nd: Another current WDC
3rd: Jules Bianchi

First driver to crash: The first driver to think "oh bugg3r"

First driver to retire: Karl Benz

First driver to get a penalty: Me, I'm sure I was snapped by one of those speeding cameras the other day

First driver to win (Australia): I doubt any driver will be given Australia, although with the escalation is tennis prize money Stanislas Wawrinka may get Guernsey if he wins this year's grand slam.

First wet track: The first track Coco visits

First driver or team to cause controversy: Whoever expects Bernie to pick up the tab for anything

First driver or team to do a tire change: I'm going out on a limb here, predicting we will go a whole year without seeing a driver change a tire.

First OBVIOUS team strategy mess up: Whoever was first to choose the Renault engine.

First driver or team pit-lane error/mistake/mess up: The closest team member to Coco

With the Sky times, a race weekend is usually:

FP1 (2 Hours)
FP2 (2 Hours)
FP3 + Qualifying - if you watch both you're gonna waste the 50 minutes in between so i'll include that (4 Hours 30)
Race (5 Hours)

So I make it 11.5 Hours a weekend * 19 races = 218.5 (Just over 9 days of the year)

So yeah, I dont see the issue, you're only giving up just over a week of the year to watch F1 :hehe:

Of course you need to add on the 5hrs+ of arguing on here post race. :D

Some of us come here even when there's no F1 so that doesn't count.

When is there no F1? The offseason keeps us entertained with the old retired drivers shooting their mouths off, analysts predictions, Lewis getting a new dog/earring, and what not. Like it or not, it's a 365 day interest. :hehe:

Well done LewEngBridgewell and FLASH for picking the correct driver to crash.

Well done FLASH for picking the correct driver to retire

Well done to 1lemon and FLASH for picking the correct winner

Well done to operman and LiamCatterson for correctly semi-predicting wet track. Still waiting for a wet race

No one guessed correctly who would get the first penalty; it was Valtteri Bottas.
No one guessed the driver or team pit-lane error/mistake/mess up; It was Ferrari with stacked pits meaning Kimi Raikkonen lost 2 places.

I would have thought it would have been a mistake to not pit and stack Kimi given the SC.
