I don't agree about Webber being slower than Massa, how many times have we seen Webber have a bad start or bad luck, fighting his way into a good points paying position? Massa, still not at his best, seems to get mired in the midfield, failing to make any real progress while his team mate, Alonso is fighting for the lead. But differences in opinion is what makes this forum go around :)

If I were a team boss and had to choose between Webber and Massa, I won't have a moments hesitation in picking Webber. Seems more solid and gritty, a definite asset to the team. Instead of a guy who can be quick at times but mostly comes across as baggage with excuses and comments about why he isn't fast enough.

Sounds like over half the F1 grid to me.... :hehe:

Comparing Massa and Webber is hard because to start off you need to know who is faster alonso or vettel

Except that in Spain, Massa was 9th on the grid and fought his way up to 3rd, which wouldve been 2nd had Kimi not brilliantly stretched a 3 stopper while others struggled to do a 4.

But that's the exception to the rule, Massa may have a performance like that once in every four or five races, Webber will do it almost every race, should he find himself in the midfield. I still think that Massa is suffering from the ill effects of his accident back in 2009, he is still far from the Massa we saw in 2008, if Massa was still on top form, it would be touch and go between him and Webber.

Webber's car has been markedly better than Massa's at least two out of the last three years.

The Ferrari wasn't as bad as Massa made it out to be last season, Massa underperformed massively in the first half of 2012!

A healthy difference of opinion is good, there would be no discussion if everyone agreed. The s*** come when it becomes repetitive, incessant and obstinate droning without any other intent but to wind people up, is what gets old.

Disagree about Webber, he was in that position in China, struggled to get through the pack and ended up crashing out.

In an average race, I think that Webber and Massa are good number 2's but no more. On their day both can challenge Vettel/Alonso and occasionally beat them, but over a season they usually fall away (as Webber did last season).
