57 laps without a stop. Was this a new secret Pirelli compound? :hehe:

Not just that, the racing was totally different from what we've seen recently, something's changed.

It's the sponsorship on his hat that's given him the boost. Big up for Sheep Worrier Central! Woohoo!

After yesterday's disappointment Force India bounced back. Pity Sutil spun it or they'd surely have had a double points finish. Hopefully there are more strong finishes to come.

Force India did get a double points finish.

McLaren might want to get rid of their "experienced LD" and get a quicker strategist to lead them along with Perez...Di Resta is looking like a very handy option.

Not just meaning for FI, it was like they were actually able to race today.

Secret tyre test done right under our noses? Nah, surely not.

Must have hit the sweet spot with the set-up plus I think he started on the mediums rather than the super softs.

I mean everyone, well maybe with the exception of Mclaren and Lotus but even with them it didn't seem to be a fear of wrecking the tyres that slowed them down.

If he could, he might have gone to the end of the race on that set and still be setting relatively good lap times. Now I can see why FI don't want to change tyres :hehe:

Teams like FI and Lotus do have a point, why should the teams struggling with tyres get a change of design? all teams were in the same boat, some teams made a car better suited to the tyres!

But yes, di Resta really did impress today, 57 laps on a set of Pirelli's, that's unheard of in F1!

This race was a temperature that made the tyre duration equal which meant that Mercedes was equal to other teams and was why Di Resta was able to do 57 laps.

Di Resta had a good race on Sunday and is now full one praise for a good strategy. But on Saturday he was once again moaning and bitching about his team. There are reports that his moaning led ti a fight in the FI garage between a mechanic and Di Resta's trainer.

I can totally see why he's pissed off though. FI have shot themselves in the foot so many times in the past few years. But maybe airing his distaste quite so much in public wasn't the best way to go.

Imagine Paul in a fight.

I can't imagine it. Maybe he'd be hospitalized for a week or so. :hehe:
