Interesting Practice-1. The F2012 looked very good to me. Neither car ran the option tire in the session. They ran 2 different Rear wings as I could see it. One like what they used in Japan and a new one. Only 2 horizontal slits at the top and different wing positioning. Its like they are still testing high df from the wing but reducing drag by leaking through the top slits. The other is less slits (less leakage) and less df from the wing. They had lots of front wings in the garage including what looked like the thinner pylon ones they ran in Magny Cours testing.

it's odd how this race and the last race Lewis starts practice sessions topping the time sheets and gets progressively worse as the weekend goes on. lets hope it doesn't continue tomorrow.

Choosing the right set-up would be a good start...

I think that Red Bull experimented with setups and found the right one in FP2. The teams are pretty close, which is cool!

Yeah, 2 weekends in a row after confirming with Mercedes.

Every race , practice times aren't designed to be competitive, in 2011 Redbull were nowhere in practice. It's only really P3 where the teams try for ultimate pace.

At anyrate, I thought the Hamilton fans had already given up on McLaren? I'm sure the team are sabotaging him, seriously, what would their motive be?

He is! For free practice 2 at least, normally Ben Edwards is the lead for practice for the BBC's live races.

WOW! I never wanted to believe it was true but it seems pretty obvious to me now that they are sending Lewis down a dark ally in set-up again so that Jenson can be their main man for the title....i mean come on! 2 weeks in a row after joining Mercedes? WTF happened to the pace Lewis showed in first practice? crazy crazy days at Mclaren people.
Maybe i'm overreacting but you have to admit it seems a little fishy? I guess you could argue that he will pick his pace up again tomorrow in P3 and Qualy but after today i highly doubt thats gonna happen....I wait with baited breath to see how this one pans out......all of a sudden Lewis is "confused" BAH! Theres nothing to be confused about Lewis the team aint supporting you no more!

You have to admit that Lewis's sudden confusion in P2 seems odd right? as for the motives of Mclaren its really simple...Would you want the current world champion driving for you next season? or would you want Lewis to take it to Mercedes?....Brawn were pretty mythed when Jenson left them and went to Mclaren with the number1 and im quite sure Mclaren dont want that to happen either.
