Lewis doesn't look happy. wtf.

Brundle just said that Lewis said "even a race win wouldn't put my life right right now".I would hate so see how depressed he would be if he wasn't young ,good looking ,going out with a pop star ,loaded and worrying how his next bill was going to be paid or out of work :hehe:

He ain't in a good place is he.

BTW, I fail to see how everyone thinks money and popularity brings happiness. For all you know, we're happier than almost all the drivers on the grid today. It's all relativity. When you achieve the money and there's no more to be made it completely loses significants. Popularity can be viewed as a huge loss to your privacy (a very crucial element of life).

How many celebrities have tried committing suicide again? :wavey:

BTW don't kill yourself Lewis. Just win. And keep winning from here on in.

Well having the best job in the world and having drop dead sexy women falling at my feet,i think I might just get by ok
I really fail to see how people get bored if they have money.Probably on the grounds i have so many interests that i would never get bored.like you say they live in such a strange bubble that they don't know anything else.
You can keep privacy if you like many people manage it,you never used to see Senna or Schumacher in the papers everyday,in fact Ayrton used to shut himself away for 3 months on his retreat in Sao Paulo, only seeing close family and friends.

Anyway enough of my waffling :hehe: Great lap Lewis get back with the program asap,we need you on top of your gaming bringing the title back to England next season :D

Do you think red bull over estimated the pace of McLaren today?.Reading into it red bull basicly settled for the 2nd row of the grid (don't underestimate the lap by seb) thinking they couldn't topple the McLaren's?.In fact if they had ran the extra set they probably would of got pole.Or the fact the title is won so they just thought they would try something a little different ?.

I think Lewis is showing his hearts on his sleeve he's not happy with all the negative things being said about him, and as he said he still wants to finish the race first before getting excited.

1) "Would've", a contraction of "would have", not "would of" which makes no sense grammatically.

2) I'm tired and my brain isn't recalling all the details of qualifying quite as well as I'd like, but from what I gathered from commentary on Speed here in the US it was suggested that in P3 Button had set his fastest lap on option tires that were several laps old rather than on their first few laps, so it was suggested that Red Bull might have deliberately put extra laps on them to try replicating what Button experienced in P3.

I think Lewis is showing his hearts on his sleeve he's not happy with all the negative things being said about him, and as he said he still wants to finish the race first before getting excited.

I think he needs to spend some quality personal time to collect himself. He needs to shut out the opinions, speculation, and expectations and just focus on driving for himself to the best of his abilities.

RedBull have opted to save their Primes for the race instead of using them in Q2. They ran the options just as McLaren did in Q3. I don't think their tyre strategy played a part in overall times.

Will be an interesting race tyre wise.

Should be an interesting race, it seems from the noises coming from the teams that it will be a 2 stopper and Red Bull's extra set of primes may not be needed. Also is it just me or are Red Bull chewing their tyres more than earlier in the season?

I think Lewis is bothered by Jenson being ahead of him on points and perhaps to get second in this year's WDC would require a Jenson DNF. We saw Lewis at his finest today, with the criticism cast his way for the entirety of the season, is it surprising that he wouldn't be jumping out of his car fist pumping because of one pole?

I think the psychological effect on Red Bull and Vettel today is their qualifying dominance is over, and they've got a one two punch McLaren team to fight with for the remaining three races. It's not out of the realm of consideration that the Red Bull/Vettel combo may go winless the remainder of this season.

Too little too late, but McLaren is indeed back.

Congrats to Lewis, nice to see Red Bull off pole. That was a dull qualifying session, though. I hate this circuit, it's so unnatural and bland.

Although the circuit is new, and still has that air of blandness about its atmosphere, I think the circuit itself is a very good one, and it seems popular with the drivers too.

Relieved that the RBR pole-position domination has now come to an end. Great work by Lewis Hamilton there.

I just can't fathom that guy out sometimes though. Didn't like his attitude after gaining pole-position at all. :nono: Looking such a misery is hardly going to assist his own morale or that of his team.

Hopefully he can turn pole into a win. Or maybe Jenson can? Another McLaren victory would be grand

There's been a steady decline in F1 over the last six years, first we had the ludicrous single set of tyres for the whole race in 2005, then we had the refuelling ban only to be forced to pit to change compounds, and now we have these tyres that are designed to degrade to force more pitstops, if the FIA want more pitstops, bring back refuelling, add more strategy to the races! Add to that the artificial overtaking aids KERS and DRS, F1 has become a bit of a joke. The FIA needs to take a step back in time to regain what F1 is supposed to be about!

It's hardly a decline when the first season you mentioned...2005... was a relief after a lengthy period of 1-team domination. Like you, I wasn't a fan of the 1 tyre rule, but I wouldn't say the sport was in decline, especially coming after 2004!

And then I can't work out the people that call F1 a joke when we've had such great racing this season. People have been weeping for more overtaking for too long, and now we've bloody well got it! For the umpteenth time, DRS simply makes an overtake POSSIBLE!!!! It allows the car to get CLOSE. It's still up to the driver to make the pass! Sometimes, especially earlier in the season, they got it wrong a few times, but this is all a learning curve with it.

Infact the tyres have contributed to more overtakes than DRS anyway.

Despite the drivers' championship being a 1-man walk, the quality of racing has been of such a high and consistent standard. And I'm not complaining. :nono:

Well, with the amount of sh*t he's been taking from everyone, what do you expect? He's probably in a 'shut the world off and do my thing' mode which is exactly what he needs right now.

No need for the big smiles for the camera or the great PR speeches just to satisfy everyone's expectations. One of the biggest reasons I support the guy is he is true to his emotions, and not a faker like many other drivers out there. And although I don't like to admit it, Alonso is similar to Lewis. I can't stand Alonso's attitude but its the real 'him'. You can't say the same about people like Vettel and Button...they always seem to have a hidden agenda underneath all the colgate smiles.

Well at least his roaring depression didn't affect his driving today. I hope this is maintained for tomorrow.
