It's a sad day in Formula 1 when a cold selfish and distant man like Raikkonen replaces a passionate, warm, colourful, selfless man like Barichello.

Do you personally know either of these men?

It's a sad day when a has-been like Barrichello is taking up a seat that could go to a fast driver like Raikkonen.

ugh :banghead: It was a good day when Mr Motivation switched to the World Rally Championships. If Williams want a team player then Raikkonen is NOT their man, he was reportedly very lazy at Ferrari.
Talking about his move to rallying he said, "I got the feeling from the start that the people involved in rallying are more interested in the sport and what is happening on the stages, rather than creating bull s**t stories with big headlines outside it,".

So why are you coming back then? :banghead::banghead:

He's still fast and keeping up with the young guys. Barrichello isn't.

On the autosport supergrid-which measures outright pace. Schmacher is quite a bit behind Rosberg but Barichello is ahead of Maldonado.

Autosports supergrid thing is meaningless. The race results and the points tell me all I need to know.

Actually it isnt meaningless. Its a really good indicator of where teams are relative to other teams and likewise drivers relative to team-mates and other drivers.

But the points prove the same thing. Rosberg is 7 points ahead of Schumacher in the WDC. As for the situation at Williams, Barrichello has dragged that awful car to 4 points, while Maldonado has only managed 1.

Yes it is meaningless. Tell me, what do the drivers win from it? Nothing.

A whole 7 points? Not exactly a huge gulf is it? There are larger gaps between team mates that have raised more eyebrows. Maldonado is in his first year so it is little wonder that he has entered the points less than Barrichello but you have to admit that a better driver like Raikkonen would have probably have dragged the car into the points on a few more occasions than just 4.

You miss the point. Do Autosport hand out a prize or anything like that? I doubt it. The FIA hand out prizes, F1 teams hand out bonuses to drivers.

I don't think any driver is going to get excited about what is written in some motorsport magazine.
