There's not a lot of humour in that though, none of them are actually jokes, unless the idea is its funny just because its talking about how Britain is great, but I didn't see it as satire. More banter.

No its because every comment i had back at me saying otherwise linked to saying somethin else about how great it is.

Man I clicked on the Canadian GP link and......

You already know how that turns out though! Vettel wins, Lewis pulls some crazy passing moves on people and is reprimanded or gets a penalty and will finish the race anywhere from 2nd place to 8th place. Ferrari will be happy if Massa comes in the points, and Alonso will be the best of the rest. Button may finish 8th or 2nd, it depends. Webber will play a part in it somehow, but not sure what... he's in don't cause waves lest his employers notice the widening performance gap. Kobayashi will finish in the points.

Summary of the Canadian GP, over. :thumbup:

I don't have tickets but I so want to drive up to Montreal just to be in the area, listen to the engines, maybe catch a glimpse of the cars and the stars. Must have self control... Must remember cost of precious, precious petroleum.

If i was born in the middle of the arctic ocean to penguins theres only one country in the world deserving of being chosen as my own.

Its Great Britain. :thumbup:

yeah, apparently the only country in the world that doesn't play basketball.

Im gonna let that comment slide cause you arent lucky enough to be British.

I appreciate two people from Britain, Christian Bale and Lewis Hamilton. :)

Unfortunately, can't think of any ladies from there. The luck lies with the rest of the world on that basis. :whip:

There are plenty of sexy English girls. Maybe not as many per-capita as other countries, but they're there.

that'll be me then :wavey::rotfl:

What is the cost of gas in Canada? I'm driving up there... about a 9 hour drive for me. I was going to fly but it was simply too expensive (I guess because of the GP weekend) and in the end between airports and security and any potential delays... I can make it up there and back on 54 gallons of gas but if the price difference is steep I can make sure I fill up in NY before crossing the border.

What I'm most excited about actually is being able to get up close on Friday practice and perhaps even Qualifying day... I'd like to get pit shots and anything really that would interest a hard core fan. Is the atmosphere on Fridays relaxed enough that I'd be able to talk my way close enough to pit lane?

Cost of gas I can answer... Looking at gasbuddy.com average gas price right now is 130cents/litre so:

1gallon = 3.78L
3.78*130 = $4.91/gallon

I don't know about in the circuit, but a buddy told me that last time he was in Montreal during the GP the city was one big party (moreso than usual), but that everyone was gouging for everything - especially hotels.

Are those US$ or Can$? The exchange rate for Can $ is 0.968 or so in favor of the loony :yikes:
