Yesterday I said goodbye to London for 2 weeks. Gearing up for a Lancashire Christmas. Hit the pubs as soon as I got off the bus, and had a jolly good evening with some of the family.

Seeing a good friend this evening, so the ale will be flowing again.

Just the ale?

Hopefully not

Went out on my bike for the first time in 2 years.

[What's Burning?]

Yay!

but first you had to put air in the tires you hadn't put air in two years.

There was that yep, and the gears and brakes had to be set up too.

T.O. has been well and truly blindsided by a terrible winter ice storm.
Hundreds of thousands of us have been without power over the past few days!

If it wasn't for the serious nature of being without power to keep warm, I have
to admit, the trees look like lovely chandeliers. Well, the ones that haven't been
destroyed look pretty, especially in the light!!

p.s. anyone heard from operaman? He's further north and I believe it's been worse up there!

I was just thinking about you Sagi. Thanks for thinking of me, but there is no need to worry the storm missed us by about 50km. Mostly we got snow, which in a ski resort is a good thing. We have no power issues and all our Starbucks are fully operational. The roads have been a bit sketchy, but I can make it to the mountain so all is good. Merry Christmas to all, and play safe.

So you will have no excuses about not having any photos for the photo comp then

I have no excuse other than I no longer enter competitions.

Why? Are you ultra competitive and get into a sulk if you don't win?

Good to hear!! It's been very eerie around these parts!

Just to add insult to injury, it's snowing!!

Big, lovely flakes that normally would be just gorgeous;
but, that are now covering the dangerous icy spots below!!

Nope.

He's very very good at this. I guess he wants to give us a chance.

Back at work, sat here in front of 12 monitors, including one just for this forum, and 1 just for this and trying to work out if anything is likely to kick off any where before the weekend
