friends, Is there any possibility where Drivers can be swapped between teams during the season ? Has it happened before ? Just wanted to know...

If Hamilton switches teams I will loose all respect for him!

If they get rid of Martin who could they possibly get to replace him Ron has been grooming him for this position for years! The only person who replace him is Ron but he needs to focus on other things McLaren have a very large sport car expansion planned and he is involved with that.

@Frosty,
Yeah. Agreed.

But still no reply to question.. Have the Drivers been swapped between teams ? Has it Happened before ? :)

Yeah can happen MS for example started at Jordan then went to Benetton but he didn't actualy have a contract with Jordan at the time.

And afterwards Roberto Moreno - who had just been sacked by Benetton to make way for Schumi - was offered the Jordan seat that Schumi had just vacated.

I think the same thing happened in 2001 with Jordan when they sacked Frentzen and Alesi took his place, and Frentzen then took Alesi's seat at Prost.

I doubt Hamilton will be swapping anywhere. He was upset and considered leaving the sport, not his team.

"Misled"?

That's what I'm saying and why I put it in quotes, it sounds like complete bullsh*t. I wanted him to stand up and say... "I was ordered by my superiors to lie, and I did. I accept full responsibility for my part in this." Thats what a man does.

But he said "mislead". Again it sounds like B.S. but I'll wait and see, it's an easy strategy to figure out if someone is full of sh*t.

As a driver, shouldnt Hamilton know what to do and not to do?

Absolutely, and as far as I'm concerned there are no excuses at this level.

"Doesnt he know the rules of the sport?

He should by this time. Again, no excuses.

No one knew what to do in that race. lewis' inclination was that the 3rd place was his but when he sought clarification with the team , who are far far more experienced than him and are not driving an F1 car at the time, he was given inncorrect information.

Whats that about?? I didnt say Lewis was blameless over all this.I said he was given wrong information during the race. That is fact and you just have to deal with it.he should never have let the Toyota past. that im afraid is generally acknowledged

1) He should never have let Trulli go back though after he went off the track
2) If he complied with 1)above, 3rd was his anyway
3) Whoever was giving him that instruction over the radio wants sacking for neglect/ignorance
4) Dave his race manager was bang out of order and deserves his suspension (at least)
5) Leave Lewis alone now, he's made the mistake of going against his principles, he went along with his boss at the Stewards meeting and has now paid the price. The poor lad is at rock bottom, he know's that, he's acutely aware of the media reporting and that he made a grave error of judgement by following his race manager's statement at the meeting. Worse things are happening in the world......move on
