I wonder which deity has the most follower?

Lewis is a god.

For some people it seems....

Perhaps we can have a line-up of lepers for him to cure on his way to the starting grid

...and so he can spot them easily, they should dress in red. :hehe:

...are we sure this guy is not Irish?
SKYF1 The World Championship leader was summoned to face the stewards after passing the Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat as their two cars approached the scene of Felipe Massa’s crash in the early stages of Practice One.

Although the rulebook expressly forbids overtaking in a red-flag situation, the stewards adjudged that Rosberg had driven in ‘a safe and reasonable’ as he crawled to a halt immediately after passing Kvyat.

The stewards also accepted Rosberg’s explanation that he was surprised by the Toro Rosso suddenly slowing down, declaring that the German had ‘taken reasonable action avoiding a car he thought was in difficulty'.

Rosberg’s escapes from official sanction have become a reoccurring theme during the 2014 season. The Mercedes driver was cleared by the race stewards in Monaco after his off-track excursion during qualifying effectively secured him pole position, while Rosberg also avoided a penalty for cutting the chicane in Canada when challenged for the lead of the race by team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

WB, I wouldn't worry too much about this. It's Nico...they will let him off whatever it is they call into question.

Not only is Rosberg smart he is a smooth talker as well. Looks like he shifted the discussion away from the illegal pass and to his safe and reasonable driving. He can play those stewards like a fiddle.

Politics?

, Ben Anderson and Glenn Freeman wrote:">British GP: Lewis Hamilton can't learn from Nico Rosberg's data

Lewis Hamilton says that he will not be able to gain much from Nico Rosberg's British Grand Prix free practice data following his own Mercedes stopping with an engine problem.

Hamilton missed out on the final part of second practice after his car shut down just after he left the pits, meaning Mercedes only had Rosberg's car to perform long-run work with in the closing stages.

Amid speculation that the Mercedes team-mates have tried to avoid sharing certain parts of their data during Formula 1 weekends this year, Hamilton said on Friday that their differing driving styles mean there is not a lot that he and Rosberg can learn from each other.

"The long run data doesn't really help in the sense that we drive differently," Hamilton told reporters in the Silverstone paddock after the second session, which he topped.

"It doesn't help you in the sense of understanding how the tyres are lasting, and whether you need to put the car into more understeer or oversteer, whether you need to move the brake balance, which corners you want to lift and coast.

"All those different things you need to practice. It makes it really hard, but I'll be OK.

"I don't know why things happen to my car so much. We'll fix it, but I really needed a long run.

"Now I don't know what the car is going to feel like for the race."

Rosberg played down suggestions that the Mercedes drivers were not sharing all of their information.

"We have to think about the team in the first instance and everything is open. We share everything.

"We're dominating the sport because we've managed to work together really well.

"Of course there comes a point where I am fighting him, and at that point I will try to keep certain advantages, as he will too.

"We always try to keep an advantage over each other, but never compromising the team as a whole. It's a fine line."

Swap the red flag thing round, Hamilton gets penalised for such a thing - draconian stewards have it in for him over minor infringement.

Wow, the story between these two gets more fascinating with every passing Grand Prix weekend. Tomorrow should be full of intrigue!
