Don't worry yourself. I was tempted to put £50 on each Brawn driver to win the WDC the day that Brawn announced he was buying the team. Odds were massive. I'd have come away with a six-figure sum should Jenson or Rubens be crowned champion. Sickening, eh? :P

Surely you went for it after the first test though?! :yikes: I've got a tenner on each at handsome odds, 50 and 33 (JB being the latter), as well as a tenner on Rubens to win a race, 5-1.

The odds dropped massively after the first test so it didn't seem worth the gamble then (with hindsight, I was completely wrong). When I looked at the odds, they were ~350!

Christ... :yellowyikes:

I know. :(

Not a bad race. Its a shame both titles seem to be as good as over already. This dominance from Brawn will put off the casual fans in huge numbers if it continues much longer. Dont get me wrong I dont mind at all if Brawn and Button win the wdc and cc but not in 2 races time with 9 or 10 left. Nobody but us F1 geeks will watch that many uncompetitive races. Last 2 seasons went to Brazil to be decided. Shame as theres been good racing down the field all season, even today.

BORING!!!!!

The race started off nicely. But I was very disappointed (after being left in the dark all weekend) to find out that Red Bull had switched to a DDD. The car is not as sweet anymore... Or has nothing changed?

Perhaps Ferrari have just overtaken Red Bull and now are the second best car on the grid? It was a good performance from Mark Webber absolutely boringly comfortable. There was good driving from Sebastien Vettel, on really crap tyres, until he had his stack.

I felt sorry for Nelson Piquet. He was probably in for a points finish. Nakajima was really awful. I still don't think Piquet should go, but Nakajima must go, and I want Sato to take his place.

Really good race from Rosberg, I thought he was on for a podium finish, but I guess he lost it in the PITS. Very dismal season for Kubica.

All in all, I rate the race 4 out of 10. Mind you, Monaco isn't really my favourite circuit. But it is still the most prestigous event. :drink:

Well, the Red Bull car's speed comes in high speed corners because it has great aerodynamic grip, whereas the Brawn is more balanced but has better mechanical grip.

As for Rosberg, he lost a better position through having to do a long middle stint, but he couldn't do a shorter one because of the performance drop-off from the super-soft compound. So he was in a damage-limitation situation, to be honest.

Racing is more than just overtaking and excitement. I was interested in the way the tyres were going off etc.

And we had a few incidents? What was wrong with it. Monaco is Monaco, dull races are usually the norm.

I know..its Monaco so you have to forgive it. But even by Monaco standards it was boring, last years was better.

Vettel backing people up caused some excitement, although perhaps robbed us of some at the same time. Had Massa and Rosberg been able to pass him earlier, they could have been much closer to the Brawns. Massa catching Raikkonen was also pretty interesting. I was really, really hoping that Fisi would be able to snatch eighth place from Bourdais and get some points for Force India. He has been excellent all weekend and it would have been nice for him to get the team's first points - Sutil has a long future in the sport if he plays his cards right, whereas Giancarlo is coming to the end of his journey. Alas, it was not to be, but if the VJM02 is going to be good at all street circuits then there are a couple more chances still. And a wet race somewhere later in the season could see them getting points. Remember Monza last year? Fisichella qualified in twelfth, ahead of a McLaren, a Ferrari, a Red Bull, a Renault and a Williams. In a car that was a modified version of the 2007 machine!

Oh, Vettel :(
Was hoping he'd do OK here, if not fantastic. Never mind.

I think that, for such a processional race, it wasn't toooooo boring. Glad that Webber got an OK result. I'm happy that Bordais got some points, but I would have loved it had Fisi gotten some too - this was a really good weekend for Force India, which was good to see :)

Roll on Turkey!
