At least Massa was able to salvage 4th.
Yes... Best result possible for Massa after being screwed over by his team. Here is the thing I don't like most about what Ferrari did: The American fans keep getting screwed over with controversy after controversy each American grand prix. I don't think what Ferrari did will boil over to a big thing, but to think that we could have been close to another big disappointment for the American fans, and the expense of Ferrari's anti-fair play was stupid.
But ultimately what is stupid is the 5 place grid drop to start with. There has to be a better way to punish drivers for misdemeanours instead of affecting guys all around them on the grid. But then, I guess it just highlights why it is important to get pole position, because there, you know you will always start on the clean side of the track regardless of what penalties are imposed on other drivers.
I do think that changing a 5-place grid drop to a 6-place drop would be a slight improvement on the rule, but would not have changed the situation at the start of this race.
What happened to Mercedes after Schumacher qualifying in 7th?
This is the biggest disappointment. Schumacher does not deserve to go out this way....

Apparently Niki Lauda on German TV is talking about Lewis's win and then going on to say that Mercs have a surprise for us all next year, hmm 2009 all over again.

They also said that at the start of this season, and the end result was embarassing. They really are one of the most useless teams on the grid. I hope that they improve soon, and I do want them to stay because we NEED more engine constructor teams in the sport, instead of just privateers...
