Because Nico wants to be a No.1 driver? Because he puts up with a crap car for 3 years, and now when its finally turning good, he is having the limelight stolen....?

You never know.

Nico himself has said that Lewis is a big part of the 'now its finally turning good' so I am sure that given the choice of MS as teammate and the car continuing like the previous years, or Lewis and the situation this year he would pick the right one

maybe we should ask Brawn if Nico is happier with MS or Lewis as a team mate

errr hold on....

So he goes to red Bull with Vettel. You think he'll have number one there?
So he goes to Ferrari with Alonso. You think he'll have number one there?

At Mercedes if he gets more points he will be number 1, it's in his hands and he's doing fine. He's in the best place for 2014. I take your point about having the limelight stolen, I feel for him, but he takes no notice of the press, within the team he has the same opportunity.

Im just saying he MIGHT have options, and nothing is guaranteed. So you can make a statement of fact that he isnt going anywhere, as you dont know.

No, like Eddie I can only speculate. But given the facts of the situation I'll stand by my statement. Best car, best team manager, great position for next year, great atmosphere in team, gets on with team mate. There's a hell of a lot of positives. He may have options, but I'll stick with , he's not going anywhere.

Do you think Brawn will care about what Nico wants if Lewis wants to stay at Mercedes? I think it's clear himself and the management generally thinks Lewis is the stronger driver, and this isn't McLaren....they would prefer to maximize their strengths instead of beating it down.

Thats nothing to do with the conversation. RC made a factual statement that Nico and Lewis are going nowhere. Now, whilst I agree that is probably true, I was just trying to point out she actually dosent KNOW how either of the drivers feel, and that they are both staying put. She was stating opinion as fact.

Its got nothing with the drivel you wrote, and dragging every single f***ing conversation round to your boring, retarded, and down-right childish obsession with slagging off McLaren.

Aww, well looks like you have extra tight knickers on today.

My response could be stand alone and I responded respectfully to your post with my own opinion...it might not address the exact point but it could add to the discussion? Maybe you need to grow up a bit and show me the same respect I show you...but so far it seems you're incapable of that which is a shame. Cry me a river if you don't like my posts, may the heartache continue. :swivel:

WHere did I show a lack of respect in my initial post? Quit hiding behind your stupid smilies like a wuss and point it out.

Hey RC maybe we need a little valium/lube in this forum for certain members here who go into unnecessary fits of insults when there was no need for it in the first place. Seriously.

No need for anyone to get personal. This is the Kimi thread....to talk about Kimi.

The latest rumour is Raikkonen going back to McLaren with Button going to Ferrari.

Yes. I posted something along those lines in the Mclaren thread. McLaren haven't taken up Buttons option yet. So Kimi could be talking to Mclaren.

How did the kimi/mclaren relationship end? I can not remember there being any big fallings out.

They prevented him from winning at least 2 WDC's by the familiar methods we saw with Lewis. He decided anywhere else would be better than McLaren, and then Ron fired him (as no driver ever leaves Mclaren) and ended up with a rookie

I think the contract ended naturally and he got a better offer from Ferrari.

See, I can reply without bashing McLaren. :)

Thats because you dont know much (about it)

Kimi Räikkönen's former McLaren-teammate David Coulthard tells directly the reason why Räikkönen left McLaren after season 2006 to move to Ferrari.

- It's not a secret that Kimi's biggest problem in McLaren during his five seasons in years 2002-2006 was Ron Dennis. Ron wanted to change him the same way he changed Mika, but it never worked. Kimi can't be changed; he is an outsider in the F1-paddock. If McLaren allows it, he appears to the location, drives the car and then goes home. No questions are asked. This time I believe they, crucially, will accept that, Coulthard told in his column in The Telegraph-magazines.

Dennis left all his F1 related duties in the beginning of this season so Räikkönen's return to McLaren next season is possible.
