Maybe you'd get more satisfaction from watching an Australian sport then.....?

No because Aussie sports fans are some of the most retarded people I've ever known, hence I post on a civilised British forum. (That uses an American spellchecker.... grrrrr.... )
If ever you get a chance to read the messages dumb fans post on foxsports.com.au, you'd see what I mean. Absolute retardation to a mega degree....
Oh and the fall out on Facebook after Webber was told to "maintain the gap" a couple of years back... Oh the amount of expletives and references of one sticking one's member up one's rear diffuser... My hat!!!

And has anyone ever seen this ridiculous sport called AFL (Aussie Rules football) invented and only played in Australia. 100,000 people often turn up to matches - yet is there any wonder why no other country has adopted this sport? Because it's stupid!!!
And then you'll have the derelict commentators shouting things like "OH MY GAWD! THAT'S THE BEST "MARK" IN THE WOOOOORLD!" Yeah the world only consisting of Australians who play the sport!

I feel like I'm trapped amongst a nation of inbred convicts... Oh wait....

No I'd much rather watch a sport with such history and that is viewed as the pinnacle of motorsport, only I'll avoid any British or Australian press. And I won't subscribe to the common views of the British dominated media and fan base, and will form a neutral opinion on the drivers in the sport both past and present.
Hence - I'll say Niki Lauda is the greatest driver to have graced the sport, yet I'm pretty sure I'm the only one to hold this viewpoint. And I still tout Alonso as probably the best driver on the grid, although after this year and Alonso's performances of late, I'm pretty sure Vettel is now...
Maybe you'd get more satisfaction from watching an Australian sport then.....?

Don't forget that Australia is technically British too, well British criminals that is ( Yes I went there aswell ! )
Lol - I've been typing my comment for about 10 mins now, and then saw this posted. As you can see, I went there too...

No don't get me wrong I prefer the final race showdowns as much as you, and that 2008 was a fantastic race, but Lewis only just scraped his WDC, though hard work yes, but is it any more or less valued than the ones Seb's got in RB? I think not.
And you're right, just as Vettel's win in 2010 and Raikkonen in 2007 should be held in less esteem either.
But the issue is the amount of commendation Hamilton receives compared to Vettel. Naturally a driver who has won 4 world championships should be receiving most of the praise... But instead, it's his British designer, who is viewed as some god (and he's very good) yet what this people fail to account for is that Newey:
a) Has been in Formula One for a very very long time - 1988 in fact. That's 25 years... And he has won ("only") 10 Constructors championships during that time. If he was such a supreme deity he would have won 20-odd to be deserving the praise he has been getting for Vettel's run of form. What about the various flops he designed? But noooo - the media and the fanbase have to try to elevate Newey and give him most of the praise compared to Vettel because whoa and behold! A BRITISH person designed the best car!
b) I can't remember my second point - and maybe amalgamated it into my first point....

Does anyone know who
Jörg Zander is? No? Do a quick Google search and you will find out that
HE designed Brawn's 2009 championship winning car.
But why haven't we heard of him? Does he being GERMAN and not BRITISH have anything to do with it?? Meanwhile, Ross Brawn and Jenson Button are given all the accolades for it. But switch the circumstances around to Red Bull where a British guy is designing the car, HE gets all the accolades for it...
