Name some of your drivers that have come over here and decimated their US competition in a MAJOR american series?

And since when were they 'our' drivers

This rings a bell;
It's mainly because when we send our drivers to US series, they (Usually) do alright, a few even decimate the opposition.

We don't own them.
They are their own drivers

Nigel Mansell, Dario Franchitti, Dan Wheldon. I don't consider them to be dominant, but they made a very good show of it and certainly beat their American opposition a lot. However, some of the guys from the US came over here and showed up everyone else. It's just how it goes.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if USF1 took on drivers from NAStyCAR like Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson or even Mr Chubby.

I think most of the drivers they were considering have already said they were not interested, Scott Speed being one that I have not heard much about, anyone know if he has said anything about USF1?

I honestly don't understand why so many of you want to see them fail, call me ignorant but I think the new teams are going to make F1 a lot more fun to watch next season, regardless of their performance, its good for the sport.

Nothing wrong with that don't you think because if they can manhandle an 800hp 1500lb Sprint/Dirt Track car I'm sure they could handle a F1 car. Lets not forget that your so called NastyCar drivers also manhandle a 750+hp NastyCar around a few roadcourse's. I simply cannot fathom the disdain for US drivers, regardless of the series they race in, by some of our bretheren from across the pond :( .

It's mainly because when we send our drivers to US series, they (Usually) do alright, a few even decimate the opposition. When US Series send drivers to F1, they usually fizzle out into obscurity, or outright stink. Now, obviously, that doesn't mean it's an absolute or even a particularly reliable conclusion (Most drivers never make the swap after all), but it creates a perception.

Juan Pablo didnt stink or fizzle into obscurity (i know he' not American but he cut his teeth in American series).Mario Andretti did good too.

It's the elite club attitude that has kept Formula One from being as enjoyable for me for many years as it was when I first started watching and there were plenty of smaller independent teams like Stewart, Minardi, Jordan, Arrows, Tyrell, Prost and so on.

Before going to the USA, Juan Pablo spent two years in the F3000 and had his junior career before that. He only spent two years in US racing championships, so I would probably compare him to the Europeans/south Americans that go to the US rather than those that come from the US to Europe.

Hey hey, tex said a MAJOR series, not some pathetic spinoff of CART that is known as the IRL. :hehe:

Still even when Mansell raced in CART he won only one road course race, something that Europeans brag that they're experts at. It also helped that he jumped into the best car on the grid that was developed to hell by these 2 Americans Mario, and Michael Andretti.

His early career was in the US when he first came from Columbia

I honestly don't know why you think it's a desire to see them fail. I like having new teams, and the more cars the better. Having doubts does not indicate a desire to see those doubts proved correct.

You are absolutely right, it doesn't, but suggesting that the team is incompetent and that American drivers are somehow inferior to others isn't an educated argument, its just blowing steam.
