There shouldbe an engine supplier pole. Who will produce the best engine in 2014.

Any aero performance differentiation will be insignificant compared to more traditional aspects of building a new car concept. A rear wing with standardised dimensions will not afford for one team to be much faster than another, a rear wing is a rear wing. Getting the front suspension or the turbo inter cooler container location optimal will bring more advantage

So everyone starts with a level playing field of the unknown. Packaging too tightly could cost multiples of any aero gain

With all these I think it's safe to say that any aero advantage RBR carry over will be dependent on number of other variables with higher weighting, being an engine manufacturer one if them

So it doesn't make sense to assume RBR will start with an advantage over every single other team

Could they use the coandra effect with the one exhaust. Using it to create downforce.

Dont think so - because Im sure the new regs state the exahust has to stick out the back, beyond the bodywork of the car.

in short...

Smaller front wing
Smaller rear wing
Exhaust hast to face upwards by at least 5 degrees
Exhaust has to be a certain distance BEHIND the rear axle
Exhaust has to be a certain distance BEHIND the last bit of wing panel
No rear bottom wing

That's all that I can recall from memory, the aero guidelines and the specific measurements are listed here somewhere, poke around.

You can get a copy of the technical regulations on the FIA website.

What is wrong with the Exhaust Blown Diffuser?

These rules are very clearly anti-Red Bull....

You know - I can't wait for Round 2 next year when Red Bull have dominated 2 races in a row and everyone moans and there's a mass exodus of fans. I'm guessing I'll be the only one left on this site.....

Don't worry, they've got Vettel driving for them.

I think you said already you would not be around for the same 'parroting' so maybe it would be everyone else still around instead

just saying.....

Yeah... you're probably right... But I'd still be watching F1 and enjoying it regardless of Sebastian winning 25 titles on the trot...

I kinda want to see that.....

... If he was doing it with Williams.

Which begs the question where did it all go so wrong for RB. If Seb was doing this in a Merc, McLaren, Williams, Ferrari, Lotus, Sauber, Torro Rosso, Force India (Ish) or Caterham then he'd be applauded and celebrated as the greatest driver EVARZ; but when he does it in a RBR car he is scorned.

Edit: Go home Marussia, no one cares about you.

If he was doing it in a Merc or Mclaren chances are he would have a top class driveralowed to race and we would see some real competition. Just like the mcLaren with Senna and Prost and the merc with Lewis and Nico.

If it was Ferrari then maybe he would have a lackey teammate and win 7 in a row and everyone would get bored and switch off and boo

err, hold on......

If he did it with any team it would have been attributed to the car.

If Hamilton won 4 seasons in a row with Red Bull, we'd still be saying it's the car... But wait he's British, so maybe because the large fan base from England, most of the coverage and press being from England, and most of the teams being from England, he would probably be held in high esteem and everyone would be praising Hamilton for being a wunderkid instead of Newey (who's ironically British).

Yes I did JUST go there!!!

Either a driver has to be British, or die in a racing accident to be considered a great in the sport... ( Yes I did just go there too! :yikes:)

But unfortunately for a sport with such a large British influence and following, we've either had a German driver and Austrian team dominating, or a German driver and ITALIAN team dominating of late.

Meanwhile, the British driver who wins his only title by one point on the final corner of the final race with a mediocre team mate is hailed as some supreme racing god and is the highest paid driver on the grid.... (Yes I did just go there too... :yikes::yikes: And on a British dominated forum as well! And I did go there as well!!! )

(I think I'm going to lie low for a while :shtstorm: )
