 I really like what little I've listened to of the Maria Yudina pieces so far.

I've plumped for all of Chopin's Nocturnes, Waltzes & Preludes. I thought they were meant to be a range of levels but they all look really hard :( Also downloaded Moonlight Sonata - miles harder than I remember it being. I suspect my old copy must have had the key changed to make it easier :hehe:

Had a morning off, before doing a dress rehearsal for play / anniversary event called "Oh What A Lovely War". Had a few drinks with fellow cast members after, before coming home.

Today i watched the full race of the British (Silverstone) 2011 GP, again on BBC iPlayer, I think about them together....Do they have something in common ?, like Massa said "he needs to calm down", and hamilton and massa contact in Monaco, and British GP battle to the end of the race?, what next ? ?

Today I went and picked up my $400 eye glasses from the opticians office and they didn't even give me a case; I didn't realise until I arrived home. I wasn't going to drive the 12 mile round-trip to the opticians office in 103°F heat during rush hour. And below a picture of me wearing them, viewed trough a somewhat fuzzy webcam shot!

It's the lenses that cost an arm and a leg; I need a special coating on mine as I suffer from "night-blindness" while driving, it really reduces the glare, plus I went for glass and not the default plastic lenses. Plus I have an odd prescription; one lens is much stronger than the other due to a birth defect. The frames cost $130 (which is roughly £80); they are just the generic brand that my optician carries, don't see the point of paying extra for a brand name. I didn't pay the full $400; our vision insurance covered over $250 of that!

 I used to have terrible eyesight (-6.5 and -7 with astigmatism - bascially, without glasses everything was a blur of colours and I could only read if the book was about 20cm from my face). The price for lenses was horrific, particularly if you wanted the thinner lenses (which I always had otherwise it looked like you'd strapped two bottle bottoms to your frames :( ).

Just out of curiosity - would you consider surgery? I've had LASIK and it's made my life so much better - such as no more worrying that I won't be able to see for a day if I accidentally break my glasses (done, several times!).

I'm moving back to Houston saturday so I spent ALL morning cleaning and organizing and I'm still not finished, what fun  !!! One thing I have learned from this move is that I will never again live somewhere with hardwood floors (especially with pets). No more extra pets for this guy.
