Hah, if they released that image themselves then they are total morons!

If they did I wouldn't be surprised, I always had the feeling they would be the type of team to show off their secrets... even if Peter Windsor said "No".

That is an interesting front wing design, it's similar to the front wing designs from 2005 to 2008.

I noticed that about the front wing too. And the reason the front wings were like that in that period was due to an attempt to lower downforce at the end of '04! Baffling...

Rising number one of Formula 1, Juan - Juan, one wonders should Juan only win one Formula 1 one year, would Juan have won that one in round one, Juan??

Yeah i got it from ScarbsF1 on Twitter he does some good technical Anylasis of the 2010 cars.

Here's what he and USF1 had to say.

USF1: by using the transverse gearbox, the case can be shorter, creating more space under the differential

USF1: Stacking the gear shafts one a top the other motorcycle style, with a intermediate gear driving the differential

ScarbsF1:This is wider solution, but has some aero benefits. The diffuser can raise up steeper under the gearbox about 16 hours ago from web

So its got a Motorcycle style gearbox.

To be fair to USF1 its abit late to start copying stuff like that without big changes to the car but still its better their rivals find out that in Bahrain rather than now.

Also surely with such a diffrent mechanical setup they NEED to test it.

Hmm, that CAD drawing is intriguing. They have made some interesting decisions with the gearbox etc. And at least the nose is different to what everyone else is doing (although, if that style was used in the 2000's to lower downforce - maybe that isn't the best choice to go with). Still - at least they're signs they kind of have a car sort of half done at least.

Maybe Campos should follow suit just to drum up a bit of positive publicity.
