Come back Stoddy!

Well, he said that he wouldn't come back until Mosley was gone. Perhaps we will see a Minardi entry application in 2010?

I have a feeling he'll hang around and see how Todt gets on first... or watch to see if anybody drops out.

Personally, I hope he buys Toro Rosso, turns it back into Minardi and sends Tost on his way.

When the team finish last in 2010, Mateschitz will likely want to sell it on. Hopefully Stoddie will be the guy to buy them.

Everyone forgets about Toro Rosso Im afraid

I always forgot about Toyota too

Whereas in that scenario I didnt, I know again a lot of people did but I quite liked Toyota, and was dare I say gutted when I heard they'd pulled out

I (selfishly) was actually happy that they pulled out.

Shame on you. :nono:

:hehe:

Sauber > Toyota.

I wouldn't be surprised if they finish last, their poor team management will lead towards sacking Algy when he's outperforming Buemi and they'll bring in someone from Formula Ford who will struggle badly. The new teams are bound to be faster too.

Most people don't care about them because they are the worst team, I believe. :P

They have the worst management. Liuzzi, Speed, Bourdais and quite possibly Alguersuari have all been poorly treated by the team. I'm quite certain that had they been at Force India, Williams, BMW Sauber etc. then they would have fared far better. Well, Liuzzi did. Before his car broke down, he could have made it on to the podium in his first race back in the sport.

How have they been poorly treated?

Having your bosses publicly say that you're rubbish, when you're actually doing an okay job in a poor car? Being sacked by SMS? Watching a rookie be given a race seat after a mediocre performance in a lower series, then having to compete for your seat when you performed reasonably? Being left over the winter without a clue what's going on?

Do you think that Alguersuari will be more successful than Buemi?

I thought so...
The leaders of the team are quite impressive!

I think Algy was brought into F1 far too soon. But he hasn't done too bad. But it's hard to judge considering 2009 was more like a giant test session for him. 2010 we'll maybe see what he's made off.

That is, if he has a race seat.

The no testing thing didn't help him at all and I'm glad that that rule has been changed.
He didn't do that bad last season. I think he deserves another season :)

When did it get changed? :O I didn't know, awesome news!

About Algy's performance, we have to admit it, his best moment was breaking into the Red Bull boxes :hehe:

It changed a few weeks ago, I think; this is from Formula 1's website:
"Testing
If a team declares that one of their current race drivers is to be substituted by a driver who has not participated in an F1 race in the two previous calendar years, one day of track testing will now be permitted, on an approved circuit not being used for a Grand Prix in the current season. This is to avoid scenarios such as that seen in 2009 when Jaime Alguersuari made his Formula One debut with Toro Rosso having only previously driven an F1 car in straight-line testing.

In another minor change, teams will be allowed six rather than eight days of straight-line aero testing per season. They will also have the option of substituting any of these days for four hours of wind tunnel testing with a full-scale (rather than the normal 60 percent-scale) model."
Perhaps :hehe:

Oh, now I remember that. They should bring back regular testing though, those are exceptional cases.

Big Azza, not yet, no :(

They probably should bring back the regular testing; it would help out a lot.
