Had a lie in this morning. Then checked out this forum, before booking tickets for the Megabus service back up North. I then had lunch in London (Charing Cross Road) with a pal, before attending a rehearsal. I then came back home, and spent ages on here with the Trivia Quiz and now I'm going to bed. Good night! :wavey::zzz:

What rehearsal, what did you have for lunch... details. You could almost therapeutically use this as a diary.

Well I awoke to my phone ringing at 10 this morning to find I was unsuccessful in getting a job I really wanted. 1st job I had found that I was really keen on after 4 months of unemployment and I didn't get it for being too honest as to why I left my last job, when a simple "it wasn't for me" would have done.

So bloody annoying!!!! :irked:

Always good to start the day with a kick in the goolies!

Right, anyone else had a more depressing start to their day? Saying you had to go to work doesn't count!

You're certain that's the reason you didn't get it? I spent quite a long sting being an active interviewer and decision maker in the hiring of new employees and there's a lot that is taken into consideration in that process. So unless they mentioned it specifically it's just a guess on your part.

Sorry to hear about phone call.

That's what I was told this morning. The person they have taken on has slightly more experience than me but that was not apparently the main reason.

I'll spend this afternoon wishing a terrible fate on their preferred candidate, either that or hope they get a better offer. :hehe:

Just the way it goes I guess.

It was a rehearsal for a production of Oh What A Lovely War, which marks the 50th Anniversary of the East 15 Acting School (National Council for Drama Training), which is on the outskirts of London.

The meal was a beef roast dinner.

Would I love to get into THAT goody basket!

Post a grocery list RC so you show everyone you're not just a bellydancin' Hamilton fangirl, but an epicurean bellydancin' Hamilton fan girl.

Did you remember an inflatable raft and oil skins? An aqualung may be required going by the weather forecast. :hehe:

I don't know about the rest of the weekend but Friday was awful. The rain was coming in horizontally so even though we were sat under cover, we still got soaked. Both of the guys went and bought extra tops as they were getting so wet and cold :hehe:

Today I have been mainly playing the piano. My friend was trying to get rid of his so he gifted it to me  I haven't played for over a decade and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it. Does anyone have any recommendations for piano music I should get? My parents gave all my music away and I can't remember any of the books I used to have :( I ideally want something Grade 5-8 and must be classical (none of this modern pop rubbish! ;))
