There is talk about Jerome d'Ambrosio joining Renault next year. It would surprise me, but it makes sense. He's getting sponsorship from Gravity, a company Gerard Lopez has his hands in. He is or was a renault development driver, and has tested a Renault f1 car before.

He was actually team-mates with Kobayashi last year in GP2, and finished ahead of Koby a lot of the time. Which isn't too bad considering how well Kobayashi done in F1. But still, his results in GP2 didn't exactly warrant an F1 drive, but I still rate the guy. He's pulled out some pretty impressive drives, but seemed to find himself unlucky just too many times. I'd be very surprised to actually see him in F1, but it'd be interesting all the same.

It would be interesting to see how d'Ambrosio would do in F1.

I found Jerome to be quite impressive in GP2, although I wouldn't say he was on the level of di Grassi, Senna, Hulkenberg and the like. If he got a seat there, next to Kubica (or if it ends up that way, Heidfeld) then I would be pleased. What I wouldn't like to see is him at Toro Rosso. That's career suicide.

Ha...I love my dear Toro Rosso, but yes, that would probably be career suicide.

Everyone forgets about Toro Rosso Im afraid

Most people don't care about them because they are the worst team, I believe. :P

They have the worst management. Liuzzi, Speed, Bourdais and quite possibly Alguersuari have all been poorly treated by the team. I'm quite certain that had they been at Force India, Williams, BMW Sauber etc. then they would have fared far better. Well, Liuzzi did. Before his car broke down, he could have made it on to the podium in his first race back in the sport.

It is ashame, I have nothing against the team and the drivers but I wont deny the face that I do forget about them on the grid, like so many other drivers too. Though when Vettel lead them to victory in 2008

I think people forget about Toro Rosso thanks to their management's poor attitude and the fact they treat drivers badly.

Come back Stoddy!

Well, he said that he wouldn't come back until Mosley was gone. Perhaps we will see a Minardi entry application in 2010?

I have a feeling he'll hang around and see how Todt gets on first... or watch to see if anybody drops out.

Personally, I hope he buys Toro Rosso, turns it back into Minardi, sends Tost on his way and re-hires Bourdais.
