Mclaren lost lewis the race i think :banghead: they had pace , and the 2 to 3 seconds the lost in the pits would have made a differance concidering lewis finished 2 seconds behind rubens !

To be fair, the only reason Lewis finished that close was because Rubens wasn't pushing any more. If he needed to, Rubens could have maintained the gap at six seconds.

mabye , but we shall never know :)

No, it's pretty obvious actually. Rubens was faster than Lewis every time he needed to be, and Button in the sister Brawn proved that car was very quick on the Softer tyres. Rubens could have and would have easily pulled away from Lewis if he had needed to and, could have easily managed the gap after that.

This is the thing which annoys me about modern F1, the cars seem far too reliable, and this is what moves me on to another point.

To lower reliability you either say that the part has to last longer or allow development in an area so the teams push the limits of that technology in an attempt to be the the fastest.

Exactly, and I believed that the development race this year would yield many DNFs due to the fact that many of the parts were untested. I suppose though everything is so precise these days. It's a shame.

are we the only ones who found it boring?

No.
Next five years aswell :yawn::yawn::yawn::yawn:
Give me strength.
But very happy for Barrichello and me wanting him and Jenson to do the best they could made it exciting for me.
So nervous for Barrichello, just before his second stop.

Are McLaren actually back?, I hope not.
But thats not my basis of the question.

Because the tracks, the last 2 they have done well at, have been crappy tracks that no overtaking is allowed.
So, i'm just putting it out there.

Jonathon Legard is getting annoying with his stupid rrhetorical questions.

Great drive by Rubens, he deserved the win. Hamilton had no chance to get past Rubens in last stint, and even if he didn`t have the pit problem it would have been really tight about who would win - Lewis or Rubens. But what goes around, comes around. Rubens had a pit stop problem in Germany and lost some places, so this time he got lucky and someone else had problems.

But in the end of the day the winner is the driver to cross the finish line first, not the one who led most laps. And in the end we saw that Brawn has the pace once again to win.
If Button keeps being stuck somewhere in 6th-8th place like he has for the past 4 races, he could be in trouble.
