She died. It's actually based on a real nurse, Renee Lemaire. In real life she never met Doc Roe, she wasn't actually working in the hospital for the 101st Airbourne, she was dedicated to the 10th Armored, but they took a bit of poetic licence in order to pay tribute to her.

I'm not sure if you've got that far yet, it's after Bastogne. If you don't want to know then don't read the small print

Why We Fight is the episode where Easy Company discover a concentration camp

For me the tear jerker is The Breaking Point.

Ah yes I saw that episode months ago and it is very disturbing, sad and heartbreaking.

I think it also gave them a reason to go on.

If you read the book at the end it turns out that the Easy Company guys liked the Germans more than the Brits or the French

Perhaps because of Operation Market Garden?

no they said it was because when the war was over they started to rebuild their country without being told to by anyone. but the rest of Europe just sort of wallowed in self pity for a bit.

Hmmm Easy for the American's to say after they profited from the war and didn't get bombed once.

I think that train of thought might be better left to another thread as this one is about movies/tv show, before it turns into a world bashing thread.

I am watching a quality movie at the moment called Island in the Sky http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045919/
