WOOOHOOO just got the call !!!! My interview is tomorrow at 5pm so please say a prayer for a brotha ok LOL??? Since FCSD (Falls County Sheriff Dept) does all their own testing inhouse, and if they hire me, I'm going to ask the sheriff since I'm already in town can we get all the other stuff out of the way. They have already done the background check but I still need to take the drug test.

So the 15min hallway interview with the sheriff went well and then unexpectedly I was given the 'oral board' interview where they did deep and want total honesty and disclosure. That went well also even though there is some info they wanted me to find but there are no records of it anywhere. I returned home the next morning to see what I could find and called them with the results so now I'm awaiting there return call but I'll make contact again monday morning.

My buddy who is a deputy with the dept told me not to worry in that he has no doubts I will get the job, I hope he is right. I was told that Marlin is not like Houston and would I have issues with that? Naturally I told him no because I am wanting to get out of Houston and I'm a country boy from way back and that Houston is a mere 2hr's away if I want to visit. My buddy also lives in Houston so he comes home to his wife and kids on his weekends and he told me the senior deputy who interviewed me also lives in Houston. I do not plan to come home every weekend as I am not married and do not have any kids and let me tell ya there are some very hot girls in Marlin lol.

The senior deputy did drop some hints like when he has me return for more talks he wants me to ride along with other deputys and get to learn the county. So I'm feeling very positive about my chances.

Well after a combined 6hr's on the phone bouncing back and forth between 5 agency's I recovered the information the sheriff was needing . He called me today to see if I got it yet and I said yep it's in the mail so now more of the waiting game .

Update: Talked to the sheriff briefly today and he needs me to come up next week to get finger printed. I might actually have this job but do not want to get ahead of myself or be called a 'wanna be cop' as someone told me I was once before .

Once many years ago while sitting in a MacDonald's, some type a punk in a crappy J body(it was Z24 so he thought he was cool) parked in the handicapped parking space, marched chest first into the place and toward the counter. As he passed me I saw from the college jacket he so proudly sported that he was learning something about law enforcement at Durham College, and so thought that he was already a cop, and for some reason thought cops could park in handicapped spaces. Total Type A butthole. That's not you right? Reminded me a little of Paul Tracy the way he shoved himself all over everyone.

Oh don't get me started on Paul Tracy. The pill from West Hill. I grew up in West Hill. He makes me ashamed. OMG I went way off topic.

Finger printing is just a normal procedure in some professions. I wonder if they will have as much trouble with my amputation as this one place did? They finger printed (or tried to) my nub . It hurt like hell because I have an exposed nerve at the tip .
