Todt knows how to lead, he's got far greater credibility than the other candidate, if Todt's having trouble I doubt the other guy would be doing any better.

Does anyone really think the outcome to this whole brouhaha hasn't already been decided?

And the judge has banned 'tweeting' from inside the tribunal. So no instant updates.

However, if thats the case, i'd just text instead.... ;o)

Sorry I'm late to this thread, but I just have one comment. I see a lot of people advocating additional testing for the other teams to make up for Mercedes' test. But I don't find that likely to happen since teams are already overworked and are always concerned about limiting costs. So with that in mind, why not just prohibit Mercedes from all practice sessions before the next GP? That's all three sessions gone - they have to set up for qualifying as best they can and hope for the best. If that makes it impossible for them to compete effectively, too bad! That's what punishments are for. Meanwhile the other teams prepare normally with no extra costs or labor, but still get to make up lost ground on practice and data.

It's already looking bad for Mercedes. Pirelli are said to be bound by the 'same contractual obligations as all teams' which means Merc can't float the "we were doing a Pirelli test" excuse anymore. And the 'permission' which Merc attained from the FIA is now seen as an 'informal communication with no clarification of how the test will be done'. Damn...what a f**k up.

Now I see why Wolff and Lauda chose to stay away....leaky faucets everywhere in Merc's defense.

'Informal contact' between Mercedes and Charlie Whiting was a phone call... bit.ly/14LnATL

So what does a 1000km testing equal to? 2 race weekend ban? That should be about 1000 if not mistaken....so 2 race ban and a fine, and then Merc have all the excuse they need to tell Brawn to take a hike. Lowe is probably packing to move into his new office.

Apparently their using the same QC as Brawn did for their diffuser in '09.

I think a $100M fine and all their points stripped, keep it consistent.

Well, the FiA seem to be building a good case....

Will Mercedes be able to pull off a big reveal with some proof of permission - exonerating them of all charges, like the dramatic end to a murder mystery where Poirot reveals the true identity of the murderer, or will they just stand up mumble some pathetic excuses, and walk away with their tale between their legs....

Im guesses floppy tail syndrome.

(im sorry, Ive drunk a big can of RedBull this morning, and my brain is spouting crap).

 Consuming a product of the enemy on the day they are assisting the prosecution of Mercedes...and you're a Lewis supporter?
