- 16 Jan 12, 17:37#288234A conspiracy theory doesn't need more than one person to be involved:
A conspiracy theory explains an event as being the result of an alleged plot by a covert group or organization or, more broadly, the idea that important political, social or economic events are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the general public.
Basically, a conspiracy theory is an excuse.
Well non of that stuff in the quote has anything to do with Whitmarsh having a thing for Jenson. Theres no covert group involved, no secret plots, and its not unknown to the general public, its all over all the F1 forums. So no not a conspiracy. Now if Whitmarsh was in cahoots with the engineers then you would have your conspiracy, but I dont believe he is.
All over the F1 forums eh? Name them. I've only seen it on here.
For your theory to work, Whitmarsh would have to be in cahoots with other team members so there is your conspiracy theory, which is actually a plot. Your theory is being used to explain a series of events which are the result of an alleged plot by an organisation or person who contols the said organisation, therefore it is a conspiracy theory.
You think Im going to tell you where I run and hide when you drive me to distraction Andrew? No way Jose! Go look yourself. There are plenty...well there were during the height of Jens Lurve from Martin.
Now..this 'theory' of mine. Its a theory now is it? Id love to hear more about MY theory, cos what I've said about Martin doesnt involve him being in cahoots with anyone, or plotting. Martin simply prefers Jenson, likes it better when he wins, talks him up all the time and cant manage to hide it. No plot required for that. Sorry Andrew, you'll have to look elsewhere for your conspiracies.
You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
