Is there an actual rule, either FiA or EU that Ferrari are breaking? Surely they would be in deep shinola if they were? Can a rule or reg be quoted?

My view on smoking.....

Apparently, one in three people develop cancer in their lives.

As such i think the smoking cancer correlation is grossly inflated. Theres people living past 100 who smoke.

Of course there are, there are exceptions to every trend, but smoking and cancer is more than just a correlation, there's a lot of evidence that it is cause and effect.

Many forms of cancer fraf, smoking usually involves lung cancer, throat cancer as the major ones. For me smoking is illogical, you don't get high you don't get drunk. But you get emphysema.

exceptions.....what doesnt make sense is that all human being are the same, some short some tall, we all follow the same code, why are some people smoking and living past 100, and some getting throat cancer. I still think they overdo it. Im not a regular smoker either, only when s*itfaced and even then its usually jamaicas finest green accompanied by some pink floyd. Youve got more chance of getting killed in a car but nobody rides bikes everywhere.

Holy logical fallacy, Batman! Cars give us many benefits - so much so that most of us can't live our daily lives without them. Tobacco? Not so much.

Well we're not all exactly the same, there are plenty of random factors and genetics as well that change stuff. In pretty much everything we do in life, we don't know anything for certain, we just try to judge based on probability.

Do you wear a seatbelt in a car? I'm sure there's someone out there who has not worn one and survived a car crash, but your far more likely to survive by wearing one.

I'm not telling you not to smoke, just saying there is a lot of risk with smoking and cancer.

:hehe: knew you were going to say you smoke fraf, your comments stem from the smokers bible! Denial :hehe:

Most people are addicted and they would love to stop, if they felt they had the willpower to, regardless of what they say to people about it.

We're discussing how detrimental cigarillo's really are? the benefits are obsolete.

Tobacco is also the most traditional way of socialising along with drinking. Is that all ive got you say? Well tell me what benefits gun laws in the US have, 30,000 die a year from them, the upsides? i cant think of any. Socialising perhaps, same with smoking.

:D But i wouldnt class myself as a smoker, i dont go to the pub every day i can to have a cheeky pint, that doesnt excite me, alchohol is not an acquired taste, i only drink it when im out for a whole night into early morning, to get drunk.

Same with smoking, i dont smoke at all unless im out drinking, they go hand in hand, and even then its never usually tobacco unless i cant get my hands on something a bit more trippy. Im not defending smoking entirely, i just think its an overblown thing.

wow. non-sequitur. You said, "Youve got more chance of getting killed in a car but nobody rides bikes everywhere." That's because a lot of us HAVE TO USE CARS. No one HAS to smoke. People are perfectly capable of socializing without smoking.

Guns are completely irrelevant to this discussion.

No they are not. A hobby, a form of socialising, guns, smoking. I cant see any pros of letting civilians muck about with semi-autos but its defended religously across the pond. Plus if we want to be technical we dont have to use cars, public transport would suffice, if not we take a cosy step back an age.

"People are perfectly capable of socializing without smoking." ;

People are perfectly able to socialise without drinking, people are perfectly able to socialise without going out the house, its a total non-issue, people smoke predominantly to socilaise, especially in the form of tobacco, people have been smoking tobacco for thousands of years, they still do, infact, im pretty sure its only ever a growing industry, and yet people are getting older and older, and living longer and longer......hmmm......... people should stop making out smoking is as fatal as a bullet to the head.
#261314
The gun argument is different though, your asking us if it should be legal, not if we approve of it or not. Making something illegal doesn't usually make the problem go away.

I disagree, i think its exactly the same, infact, guns are worse.

Tobacco smoking is a form of socialising/hobby, thats its only plus,
gun ownsership is a form of socialising/hobby, thats its only plus.

Now tobacco smoking in public in the UK is banned, the only person your hurting is yourself.
With guns the only people your hurting are those that bullied you in school.

Yet the harp is all about what people choose to do in their own time, that affects only them.

If you dont like smoking then dont do it and be done, instead of going on these hippie crusades against anyone that lights up a deathstick lol
